Winton Fire District Notice 1979

PURSUANT to section 26 of the Fire Service Act 1975, the
New Zealand Fire Service Commission hereby gives the
following notice.

NOTICE

1. Title and commencement:
   (1) This notice may be cited as the Winton Fire District
   Notice 1979.
   (2) This notice shall come into effect on the 1st day of
   December 1979.

2. The Winton Fire District, declared to be a fire district
   by the Fire Service Act 1975, is hereby abolished, and a
   fire district to be known as the Winton Fire District is
   hereby constituted.

3. The boundaries of the Winton Fire District constituted
   by this notice are defined in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

ALL that area in the Southland Land District, County of
Southland and Borough of Winton bounded by a line
commencing at the north-western corner of Block XVII,
Oreti Hundred and proceeding easterly along the northern
boundary of Block XVII, aforesaid to the middle of the Oreti
River; thence northerly along the middle of the Oreti
River to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of
Section 1023, Block XXXIII, Hokonui Survey District;
thence south-easterly by a right line to and along that
boundary and the production of that boundary to the eastern
boundary of Block XXXIII and XLIII, Hokonui Survey District to the
intersection with the north-western side of Taylors Bush Road;
thence south-easterly by a right line, across Taylors Bush
Road to the north-eastern corner of part Section 432,
Block LIII, Hokonui Survey District, more particularly
shown on L.T.P. 174; thence south-easterly on a bearing of
153° 23' for a distance of 608.96 metres; thence south-
westly for a bearing of 263° 23' to the intersection with the western boundary of Block LIII,
aforesaid, these being the north-eastern and south-western

the middle of the Center Bush-Otapiri Road to a point
in line with the north-eastern boundary of part Section 331,
Block LX aforesaid; thence south-easterly by a right line
to and along that boundary to the south-eastern corner of
part Section 331 aforesaid; being a point on the northern
boundary of Block IX, Winton Hundred; thence easterly
and southerly along the northern and eastern boundaries of
Block IX aforesaid to the north-western corner of Block
XIV, Forest Hill Hundred; thence generally easterly and
southerly along the generally northern and eastern boun-
daries of Block XIV, aforesaid to the middle of the Otapiri
Stream; thence generally southerly along the middle of the
Otapiri Stream to the intersection with the middle of the

Makarewa River; thence southerly along the middle of the
Makarewa River to a point in line with the southern boundary
of Section 288, Block V, Forest Hill Hundred; thence
westerly by a right line to and along that boundary and
the production of that boundary to the middle of Mako
Road; thence southerly along the middle of Mako Road
to a point in line with the northern boundary of part Section

boundary of Section 42, aforesaid and the production of
that boundary across the Kingston Branch Railway to the
south-eastern corner of Lot 2, D.P. 2249, Block IX, aforesaid;
thence westerly along the southern boundary of Lot 2, D.P.
2249, aforesaid; thence westerly along the last-mentioned boundary produced to
the middle of Calder Road, to the south-eastern corner of
the Lochiel Bridge Road; thence westerly along the
middle of the Lochiel Bridge Road to the intersection with
the middle of the Oreti River; thence northerly along the
middle of the Oreti River to the south-eastern corner of
Block VI, Oreti Hundred; thence westerly along the southern
boundary of Block VI, aforesaid to the south-western corner
of Block VI, aforesaid; thence generally northerly along the
generally western boundaries of Blocks VI, VIII, and XVI,
Oreti Hundred to the intersection with the northern boun-
dary of Lot 19, D.P. 274, Block XVI, aforesaid; thence
easterly along the northern boundaries of Lot 19, part Lot
18, Lots 17, 16, and 15, and part Lot 14, D.P. 274, aforesaid,
to a point on the western boundary of Block XVII, Oreti
Hundred; thence northerly along the western boundary of
Block XVII, aforesaid to the point of commencement.
