Notice of Approval of Alternative Types of Seatbelts for Certain Motor Vehicles

NOTICE

PURSUANT to regulation 78 (1A) of the Traffic Regulations 1976* (as inserted by regulation 3 (1) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, Amendment No. 2), the Secretary for Transport hereby approves the fitting in the seating positions specified in the Schedule hereto of the alternative types of seat belts specified in the said Schedule to the vehicles specified in the said Schedule.

SCHEDULE

IN respect of Mitsubishi L 300 light commercial vehicles, three-point lap and diagonal seat belts, not including dual sensitive emergency locking retractors, of an approved type for the use of the driver and the front seat passenger nearest to the left side of the vehicle (or the right side of the vehicle in respect of a left-hand drive vehicle).

Notice of Approval of Bylaws

PURSUANT to sections 8A and 165 of the Harbours Act 1950, I, Robin Paul Taylor of the Ministry of Transport, in exercise of powers delegated by the Minister of Transport, hereby approve the Takapuna City Council Consolidated Bylaw 1975, Control of the Wairau Estuary and Parts of the Foreshore 1976 Revision, 1979 Amendment “Naming of Pleasure Craft” made by the Takapuna City Council and passed and adopted at meetings of the said Council on the 15th May 1979 and 16 June 1979 respectively.

Notice of Approval of Bylaws

PURSUANT to section 165 of the Harbours Act 1950, I, Robin Paul Taylor, of the Ministry of Transport, in exercise of powers delegated by the Minister of Transport, hereby approve the Dannevirke County Council Beach Control Bylaw as adopted at a meeting of the said Council held on 14 August 1979 and confirmed at a meeting of the said Council held on 11 September 1979.

Survey Board of New Zealand—Surveyors Examinations February/March 1980—New Zealand

It is hereby notified for general information, that the Survey Board of New Zealand will conduct the following examinations at any of the Chief Surveyor’s offices in all main centres or at the offices of the District Surveyor at Rotorua, Whangarei, Palmerston North, or as otherwise directed, on Friday, 1 February 1980, at 9 a.m.

  1. New Zealand Acts and Regulations relating to surveys will be held at any of the Chief Surveyor’s offices in all main centres or at the offices of the District Surveyor at Rotorua, Whangarei, Palmerston North, or as otherwise directed, on Friday, 1 February 1980, at 9 a.m.

Applications, on the proper form, together with the prescribed fee must reach the Secretary of the Board not later than Friday, 4 January 1980.

  1. The Professional Interview will be held in Wellington, starting on Monday, 24 March 1980, at 8.45 a.m.

Applications, on the proper forms, together with the prescribed fee must reach the Secretary of the Board not later than Friday, 22 February 1980. Certificates of Practical Experience, Form 3, and a list of surveys carried out during the period of practical work; Form 2, must reach the Secretary by 22 February 1980. Plans and all other evidence required by the Second Schedule of the Surveyors Professional Regulations 1977, together with the results of astro. observations and computations must reach the Secretary not later than Friday, 7 March 1980.

Application forms and further detailed information about the Board’s requirements may be obtained from the under-signed.

The fees for examination are as follows:

New Zealand Acts and Regulations relating to Surveys $15.
For the Professional Interview $50.

Notice Declaring Variegated Thistle a Class B Noxious Plant on the East Coast of the North Island (No. 2253, Ag. 12/10/10)

  1. PURSUANT to section 19 of the Noxious Plants Act 1978, the Noxious Plants Council hereby declares variegated thistle (Silybum marianum) to be a Class B noxious plant in that part of New Zealand lying within the boundaries of the Hastings Noxious Plants Regional Co-ordinating Committee.

  2. This notice shall come into effect on the day after the date of notification in the Gazette.
