Notice of Intention to Vary Hours of Sale of Liquor at Licensed Premises—Northland Licensing Committee

PURSUANT to section 221A of the Sale of Liquor Act 1962, as amended by section 22 (14) of the Sale of Liquor Amendment Act 1976, I, Bruce James Cameron, Acting Secretary for Justice, on 6 December 1978, made an order authorising variations of the usual hours of trading for the licensed premises known as the D.B. Onerahi Hotel, at Onerahi.

To the intent that on days other than those on which licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the public the hours for the opening and closing of the said premises shall be as follows:

(a) On any Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday (not being Christmas Eve or New Year’s Eve)—Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 10 o’clock in the evening.

(b) On any Friday, Saturday, New Year’s Eve and Christmas Eve—Between the 29th day of October and the 3rd day of March, opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 11 o’clock in the evening.

(c) On any Friday and Saturday—Between the 4th day of March and the 28th day of October, opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 10 o’clock in the evening.

PURSUANT to section 221A of the Sale of Liquor Act 1962, as amended by section 22 (14) of the Sale of Liquor Amendment Act 1976, I, Bruce James Cameron, Acting Secretary for Justice, hereby give notice that the Hauruni Licensing Committee, on 7 December 1978, made an order authorising variations of the usual hours of trading for the chartered club premises known as the Rangiora Returned Services Association Club (Incorporated), at Rangiora.

To the intent that on days other than those on which chartered clubs are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to their members the hours for the opening and closing of the said premises shall be as follows:

(a) On any Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday (not being Christmas Eve or New Year’s Eve)—Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 10 o’clock in the evening.

(b) On any Friday, Saturday (not being New Year’s Eve) and Christmas Eve—Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 11 o’clock in the evening.

(c) On New Year’s Eve—Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 12 o’clock midnight.

Order Varying Order Extending Closing Hours at Licensed Premises—King Country Licensing Committee

PURSUANT to section 221A of the Sale of Liquor Act 1962, as amended by section 22 (14) of the Sale of Liquor Amendment Act 1976, I, Bruce James Cameron, acting Secretary for Justice, on 15 November 1978, made an order for the licensed premises shown in the Schedule below that the order of 17 December 1976 shall be subject to the condition that from 6 p.m. until closing time a substantial supply of sandwiches, and pies or other light refreshments are available for all persons on the premises, together with tea and coffee making facilities at a reasonable charge.

Notice of Approval of Bylaws

PURSUANT to sections 8A and 165 of the Harbours Act 1950, I, Owen John Conway, of the Ministry of Transport, in exercise of the powers delegated by the Minister of Transport, hereby approve the Thames-Coromandel District Council Bylaw No. 7, Foreshore and Waters, passed and adopted at a meeting of the said council on the 19th day of December 1978.

Confiscation of Motor Vehicle

CRIMINAL JUSTICE AMENDMENT ACT (NO. 2) 1976

PURSUANT to the Criminal Justice Act 1954, section 44B motor vehicle registration No. IC 9899, Vauxhall Velox motor car, engine No. PAY 87939, chassis No. PASV 87191, owned by Mr Lee Edward Ohlson, 99 Shamrock Street, Palmerston North, was confiscated by Mr J. W. P. Watts, S.M., in the Magistrate’s Court at Palmerston North, on the 13th day of December 1978, in accordance with the above Act.

Hospital Specified as a Place at which Controlled Drugs may be prescribed, administered, or supplied for the Purpose of Treating Persons Dependent on Controlled Drugs

NOTICE is hereby given that the Minister of Health, pursuant to section 24 (3) (b) of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1975, has specified the Wellington Public Hospital, Wellington, as a place at which controlled drugs may be prescribed, administered, or supplied for the purpose of treating persons dependent on controlled drugs.
