Otago Foundation Trust Board Declared a Leasing Authority
Under the Public Bodies Leases Act 1969

PURSUANT to section 3 of the Public Bodies Leases Act 1969, the Minister of Local Government hereby declares the Otago Foundation Trust Board to be a leasing authority within the meaning of that Act.

Timaru College Senior Technical Division Notice 1978

PURSUANT to section 96A of the Education Act 1964 (as inserted by section 4 of the Education Amendment Act 1977), the Minister of Education gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Timaru College Senior Technical Division Notice 1978.

  2. The Timaru College Board of Governors (in this notice referred to as “the board”) is hereby authorised to offer classes or courses in the technical subjects specified in the Schedule to this notice, at Timaru College, to persons who are not enrolled as students at that school.

  3. (1) There shall be added to the management committee established by the board, pursuant to section 96A (2) of the Education Act 1964, one person who shall be elected by the full-time tutors in the classes or courses referred to in clause 2 of this notice from among their number; and the person elected shall serve as a member of the management committee for a term of 2 years, and may be re-elected.

(2) If during the term of membership, the member so elected becomes for any reason unable to remain a member of the management committee, the board shall fill the vacancy thereby created by appointing a person who is qualified to vote under subclause (1) of this clause; and the person so appointed shall serve as a member of the management committee for the remainder of the term.

SCHEDULE

THE technical subjects referred to in clause 2 of this notice shall be the following:

Subjects towards a New Zealand Certificate awarded by the Technicians Certification Authority of New Zealand.

Subjects towards a Technical Certificate in Garage Management awarded by the Technicians Certification Authority of New Zealand.

Subjects towards a Hospital Officers Certificate.

Subjects towards a Trade Certificate or Advanced Trade Certificate awarded by the New Zealand Trades Certification Board.

Typing and Shorthand.

Subjects towards Certificates in Industrial Practice in the following:

Boilerhouse Practice,
Civil Engineering Works Supervision,
Concrete Construction,
Concrete Supervision,
Farm Management,
Food Hygiene, and
Food Service.

Subjects in Senior Business or Secretarial courses.

Subjects in the New Zealand Society of Accountants examination.

Subjects towards the New Zealand Institute of Management, the New Zealand Institute of Valuers and the Real Estate Institute of New Zealand courses.

Ceramics.

Customs Act—Dumping Duty (Amendment)

PURSUANT to the provisions of section 129 (1) of the Customs Act 1966, as amended by section 6 of the Customs Amendment Act 1971, notice is hereby given that dumping duty, equivalent to 100 percent of the amount by which the f.o.b. export selling price is less than the current domestic value, determined in accordance with the provisions of this Act, shall be payable in respect of the following goods:

This decision shall take effect in respect of all such goods imported into New Zealand on and after 31 August 1978, and amends the dumping duty decision gazetted in the New Zealand Gazette dated 18 August 1978.
