Dissolving the General Assembly

A PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS the General Assembly of New Zealand stands prorogued to the 9th day of November 1978 and I have thought fit to dissolve it:
Now, therefore, pursuant to the New Zealand Constitution Act 1852, I, The Right Honourable Sir Keith Jacka Holyoake, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby dissolve the General Assembly as from the date hereof.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 26th day of October 1978.
