The Traffic (Hauraki Plains County) Notice No. 1, 1978

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Hauraki Plains County) Notice No. 1, 1978.

  2. The roads specified in the First Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be closely populated localities pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

  3. The roads specified in the Second Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be 70 kilometres an hour speed limit areas pursuant to regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976*.

  4. The Traffic (Hauraki Plains County) Notice No. 1, 1973, dated the 17th day of December 1973†, issued pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962 and regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956, which relates to roads situated within Hauraki Plains County at Ngatea, is hereby revoked.

FIRST SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Hauraki Plains County at Ngatea:

All that area bounded by a line commencing at a point on the western side of Pipiroa Road directly opposite the western termination of the northern side of Mahana Road, thence across Pipiroa Road at right angles from its western side to its eastern side, thence along the eastern side of Pipiroa Road to a point measured 160 metres north-westerly, generally, from the western termination of the northern side of Mahana Road, thence due cast by a right line to the western side of River Road, thence south-easterly, generally, along the western side of River Road to its intersection with the northern side of Leonard Street, thence across River Road at right angles from its western side to its eastern side, thence south-easterly, generally, along the eastern side of River Road to Ngatea-Kaihere Road to a point 320 metres measured south-easterly, generally, from its intersection with the No 2 State Highway (Pokeno-Wellington via Gisborne), thence across Ngatea-Kaihere Road at right angles from its eastern side to its western side, thence north-westerly, generally, along the western side of Ngatea-Kaihere Road to the southern side of Haywards Road, thence westerly, generally, along the southern side of Haywards Road to its western termination, thence north-westerly, generally, by a right line to the southern termination of Kohunui Street, thence north-westerly, generally, by a right line to a point on the southern side of the No. 2 State Highway (Pokeno-Wellington via Gisborne) measured 160 metres westerly, generally, along the said highway from Pipiroa Road, thence across the said highway at right angles from its southern side to its northern side, thence northerly, generally, by a right line to the commencing point.

SECOND SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Hauraki Plains County at Ngatea:

No. 2 State Highway (Pokeno-Wellington via Gisborne): from a point measured 160 metres measured westerly, generally, along the said highway from Pipiroa Road to a point 640 metres measured westerly, generally, along the said highway from the said road.

No. 2 State Highway (Pokeno-Wellington via Gisborne): from the western termination of the Piako River Bridge to a point measured 530 metres easterly, generally, along the said highway from the western termination of the said bridge.

Pipiroa Road: from Mahana Road to a point 1240 metres measured north-westerly, generally, along the said road from the No. 2 State Highway (Pokeno-Wellington via Gisborne).

Notice of Intention to vary Hours of Sale of Liquor at Licensed Premises—Northland Licensing Committee

PURSUANT to section 221A and 221B of the Sale of Liquor Act 1962, as amended by section 22 (14) of the Sale of Liquor Amendment Act 1976, I, Gordon Stewart Orr, Secretary for Justice, hereby give notice that the Northland Licensing Committee, on 5 September 1978, made an order that the hours for the sale of liquor at the Hotel Marlin Limited, of Whangaroa, be restored to the usual hours for the sale of liquor, namely at any time between the hours of 11 o’clock in the morning and 10 o’clock in the evening on any day other than a day on which the premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor, and that the previous order fixing hours other than the usual hours for the sale of liquor be revoked.

Notice of Intention to Vary Hours of Sale of Liquor at Licensed Premises—Northland Licensing Committee

PURSUANT to section 221A and 221B of the Sale of Liquor Act 1962, as amended by section 22 (14) of the Sale of Liquor Amendment Act 1976, I, Gordon Stewart Orr, Secretary for Justice, hereby give notice that the Northland Licensing Committee, on 5 September 1978, made an order authorising variations of the usual hours of trading for the licensed premises known as the Ohaeawai Hotel, Ohacawai.

To the intent that on days other than those on which licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the public the hours for the opening and closing of the said premises shall be as follows:

(a) On every Saturday (not being New Year’s Eve) and Christmas Eve—Opening at 10 o’clock in the morning and closing at 10 o’clock in the evening.

(b) On New Year’s Eve—Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 12.30 a.m. in the morning of New Year’s Day.

(c) On any Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Christmas Eve (Christmas Eve not being a Saturday)—Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 10 o’clock in the evening.

Notice of Intention to Vary Hours of Sale of Liquor at Chartered Club—Northland Licensing Committee

PURSUANT to section 221A and 221B of the Sale of Liquor Act 1962, as amended by section 22 (14) of the Sale of Liquor Amendment Act 1976, I, Gordon Stewart Orr, Secretary for Justice, hereby give notice that the Northland Licensing Committee, on 5 September 1978, made an order authorising variations of the usual hours of trading for the chartered club premises known as the Kawakawa Returned Services Association Club Incorporated, Kawakawa.

To the intent that on days other than those on which chartered clubs are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to their members, the hours for the opening and closing of the said premises shall be as follows:

(a) On any Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (not being Christmas Eve or New Year’s Eve)—Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 10 o’clock in the evening.

(b) On any Friday, Saturday, and Christmas Eve—Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 11 o’clock in the evening.

(c) On New Year’s Eve—Opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 12.30 o’clock in the morning of New Year’s Day.

PURSUANT to section 221A and 221B of the Sale of Liquor Act 1962, as amended by section 22 (14) of the Sale of Liquor Amendment Act 1976, I, Gordon Stewart Orr, Secretary for Justice, hereby give notice that the Southland Licensing Committee, on 15 September 1978, made an order authorising variations of the usual hours of trading for the licensed premises known as the New Eagle Hotel, Bluff.
