Appointment of Maori Wardens Under the Maori Welfare Act 1962

PURSUANT to subsection (1) of section 7 of the Maori Welfare Act 1962, as substituted by section 14 of the Maori Purposes Act 1973, the Minister of Maori Affairs hereby appoints for a term of 3 years, the persons named in the Schedule hereto, to be Maori wardens for the areas of the Maori associations set opposite the name of each such person in the second column of the Schedule hereto.

Appointment of Members of the Lake Rotoiti Scenic Reserve Board

PURSUANT to sections 18, 19 and 20 of the Maori Purposes Act 1931, and the Reserves Act 1977, His Excellency the Governor-General hereby appoints

Pirikawana William Taiatini, and
Matiu Tamehana

to be members of the Lake Rotoiti Scenic Reserve Board in place of Meketanara Tukuru, deceased, and Marukore Hohepa Te Wao, resigned.

Declaring Land Taken for Better Utilisation and a Batter Easement in Gross over Land Taken for the Use, Convenience or Enjoyment of a Road, Subject to an Electricity Easement, in Paparoa County

PURSUANT to section 32 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Works and Development hereby declares that, sufficient agreements to that effect having been entered into, the land described in the First Schedule hereto is hereby taken for better utilisation, and the batter easement in gross described in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the use, convenience, or enjoyment of a road over the land described in the Third Schedule hereto subject to the electricity easement in gross granted by transfer 839123, Canterbury Land Registry, from and after the 5th day of October 1978.

A batter easement in gross vesting full and free right, liberty, and license at all times for Her Majesty the Queen to enter upon and deposit spoil and create and maintain a batter for Curletts Road on the parcel of land described in the Third Schedule hereto, together with full and free right, liberty, and license to Her Majesty's servants, agents and workmen at all times to enter upon and occupy the said parcel of land for the purpose of carrying out any works, repairs, replacements,
