THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE
No. 82
produce others to show that the Act had been complied with.
We accept Mr Hartie’s statement that Dr Ehrhardt was the
only person to complain regularly on this topic and can
understand an annoyance with the consumption of time and
effort in dealing with a persistent letter-writer who appeared
to be enjoying his jousts with Radio New Zealand.
Co-opted Members
In accordance with the Act the Tribunal co-opted Mr G. R.
Black and Mr G. C. Ell, two persons whose qualifications
and experience were likely, in the opinion of the Tribunal, to
be of assistance to the Tribunal in dealing with that complaint.
They took part in the hearing and in the deliberations of the
Tribunal. The decision, however, in accordance with the Act is
that of Messrs Slanc, Sceats, and Henshall.
Summary
The Tribunal upholds the complaint in respect of the failure
of the Corporation to comply with the requirements of the
Act when a complaint had been made to the Secretary of the
Corporation. In all other respects the Tribunal is unable to
uphold the complaint for the reasons stated.
Dated the 6th day of September 1978.
For the Tribunal:
B. H. SLANE, Chairman.
