National Roads Board—Varying Notice of Declaration of State Highway
PURSUANT to section 11 of the National Roads Act 1953, the National Roads Board, acting with the written approval of the Minister of Works, hereby gives notice that it varies the notice declaring public highways to be State highways, dated 12 August 1970, published in the Gazette, 20 August 1970, No. 50, p. 1480, by deleting from the Schedule to the said notice the paragraph described in the First Schedule hereto, and substituting therefor the paragraph set out in the Second Schedule hereto.
FIRST SCHEDULE
PARAGRAPH deleted from North Island section of Part II of the Schedule to the said notice:
PALMERSTON NORTH
No. 56 State Highway.
SECOND SCHEDULE
PARAGRAPH substituted in the North Island section of Part II of the Schedule to the said notice:
PALMERSTON NORTH
No. 56 State Highway commencing at the intersection of Fitzherbert Street, Fergusson Street, and proceeding along Fergusson Street to Pitt Street, Pitt Street to Main Street West, and thence along Main Street West to the city boundary.

National Roads Board—Varying Notice of Declaration of State Highways
PURSUANT to section 11 of the National Roads Act 1953, the National Roads Board, acting with the written approval of the Minister of Works and Development, hereby gives notice that it varies the notice declaring public highways to be State highways, dated 9 March 1960, published in the Gazette, 24 March 1960, Vol. 1, p. 384, by deleting from the Schedule to the said notice the paragraphs described in the First Schedule hereto, and substituting therefor the paragraphs set out in the Second Schedule hereto.

SECOND SCHEDULE
PARAGRAPHS substituted in the North Island section of Part II of the Schedule to the said notice:
PALMERSTON NORTH CITY
No. 3 State Highway from the city boundary along Rangitikei Line to Grey Street, Grey Street to Princess Street, Princess Street to Main Street East; thence along Main Street East to its junction with Napier Road; and thence, to the city boundary.
No. 57 State Highway from the southern end of the Fitzherbert Bridge over the Manawatu River, along Fitzherbert Avenue to Fergusson Street, Fergusson Street to Princess Street, Princess Street to terminate at the junction with No. 3 State Highway at Main Street East.

New Zealand – Australia Free Trade Agreement
Application for the Approval of Goods as Determined Imported Materials—Notice 1978/3
NOTICE is hereby given that application has been made to Australia for the approval of the goods, described in the Schedule hereto, as determined imported materials in accordance with Australian legislation relating to the rules governing the origin of goods “wholly manufactured”.
Any person wishing to lodge an objection to New Zealand supporting these applications should do so in writing, on or before 11 September 1978. Submissions should include a reference to the application number, Tariff item, and description of the goods concerned, be addressed to the Comptroller of Customs, Private Bag, Wellington, and supported by information as to the quality, range, supply, etc., of the goods or suitable alternative goods produced in New Zealand.

PURSUANT to regulation 3 of the Heavy Motor Vehicle Regulations 1974*, the Secretary for Transport hereby gives the following notice.

The Waimarino County Council’s proposed classification of the roads as set out in the Schedule hereto is hereby approved.
