The Standards Act 1965—Standard Specifications Proposed for Revocation
Notice is hereby given that the under-mentioned New Zealand standard specifications have been recommended for revocation pursuant to the provisions of the Standards Act 1965.
Any person who may be affected by the proposal to revoke these standard specifications, and who wishes to object to their revocation, is invited to submit comments to the Standards Association of New Zealand, Private Bag, Wellington, not later than 31 August 1978.
Number and Title of Specification
NZS 648:1953 General methods for the testing of woven textiles (Methods covered in other standards).
NZS 757:1950 Flock (withdrawn on the grounds of non usage).
NZS 1527:1960 (BS 3121:1959) Performance requirements of flameproof materials for clothing and other purposes (Superseded by NZS 8703:1977).
NZS 1735:1962 (BS 3090:1959) Method for determining the fluidity of linen materials in cuprammonium hydroxide solution (a later edition of this British Standard has been proposed for endorsement).
NZS 1756:1963 Warp-knitted fabrics or rayon or acetate for men's, women's, and children's underwear and nightwear. (Obsolete).
NZS 2152:1967 (BS 3257:1960) Principles and terms for the description of fabrics (with special reference to fibre content). (Obsolete).
NZS 2270:1969 Code of practice for the making up and labelling of bed sheets and pillowcases. (Withdrawn on the grounds of non-usage).

The Standards Act 1965—Standard Specification Revoked
Pursuant to section 23 of the Standards Act 1965, the Standards Council, on 21 July 1978, revoked the under-mentioned standard specification.

NZS 624:1964 Timber ladders for general purposes.
(Superseded by NZS 3609:1978).

*A later edition of this British standard has been endorsed as suitable for use in New Zealand.
