National Roads Board—Notice Partially Revoking Declaration of State Highway to be a Limited Access Road

Referring to State Highway No. 8, Prohibition Road to Omarara section, as more particularly shown on sheets 1 and 2 of Plan L.A. 70/66/6 and accompanying Schedule, held in the office of the Resident Engineer, Ministry of Works and Development, Dunedin, and there available for public inspection; it is notified that the National Roads Board, by resolution dated 15 March 1978, and pursuant to subsection 5 of section 4 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1963, hereby revokes its resolution dated 25 March 1976*, made pursuant to the said Section 4, insofar as it affects that part of the limited access road declaration, for half its width on the southern side commencing at the junction of the road boundary with that of State Highway No. 83, and extending 110 metres in a westerly direction across the frontage of Lot 1, D.P. 12795 (C.T. 7B/927).

Appointment of Thames-Coromandel District Council to Control and Manage a Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Lands, the Assistant Director of Reserves of the Department of Lands and Survey hereby appoints the Thames-Coromandel District Council to control and manage the reserve, described in the Schedule hereto, subject to the provisions of the said Act, as a reserve for recreation purposes.

Designation of Horowhenua Community Arts Council

Pursuant to section 32 (i) of the Queen Elizabeth II Arts Council of New Zealand Act 1974, on the recommendation of the Central Regional Arts Council, and on the application of the Horowhenua Community Arts Council, the Queen Elizabeth II Arts Council of New Zealand hereby designates the Horowhenua Community Arts Council to be the Community Arts Council for the area of the Horowhenua County Council including the Borough of Levin and Otaki.

The Standards Act 1965—Draft New Zealand Standard Specifications Available for Comment

Pursuant to subsection (3) of section 23 of the Standards Act 1965, notice is hereby given that the following draft New Zealand standard specifications are being circulated. All persons who may be affected by these specifications, and who desire to comment thereon, may obtain copies from the Standards Association of New Zealand, World Trade Center, 15–23 Sturdee Street (or Private Bag), Wellington.

The closing date for the receipt of comment is 13 October 1978.

Number and Title of Specifications

DZ 3111 Testing of water and aggregate for concrete.
DZ 3112 Methods of test for concrete.
DZ 3121 Water and aggregate for concrete.

These are draft revisions of the standards issued in 1974. Experience in their use has indicated the need for revision of some of the tests involved.
