Development Finance Corporation Amendment Act 1977
DEFINITION OF SMALL BUSINESS:
THE Minister of Trade and Industry, acting pursuant to the provisions of section 9B (1) of the Development Finance Corporation Act 1973, as inserted by section 2 of the Development Finance Corporation Amendment Act 1977, and having received a recommendation from the Board of the Development Finance Corporation, hereby specifies the following classes, descriptions, and definitions of businesses which for the time being shall be small businesses for the purposes of Part 1A of the Development Finance Corporation Act 1973:
CLASS A
Description of Activity Definition of Small Business
Manufacturing — (i) Maximum workforce of 50.
Wholesaling — (ii) Maximum turnover of $1 million
Retail — (i) Maximum workforce of 25; or
— (ii) Maximum turnover of $250,000
Service — (i) Maximum workforce of 10; or
— (ii) Maximum turnover of $100,000
CLASS B
Description of Activity Definition of Small Business
All sectors — The business does not qualify under Class A, but the Small Business Agency is satisfied;
— (i) that the business is owned (or beneficially owned) by its principal manager or managers; and
— (ii) that apart from the owner-manager or owner-managers, the business does not employ staff in a management only capacity.

Social Security Act 1964—Maternity Notice
PURSUANT to section 112 (4) of the Social Security Act 1964, the Minister of Health hereby gives notice that
Robert Emmott Atkinson, M.B., CH.B., D.P.H. (GLASGOW)
of 203 Karangahape Road, Auckland, has notified the Minister that he is willing to afford medical services in relation to maternity benefits, on the terms provided for in section 112 of the Social Security Act 1964, and consequently he is entitled to recover any fees in respect of his professional services, as if that Act had not been passed.

Notice of Intention to Take Land Block I, Cheviot Survey District, for Road
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take for road the land described in the Schedule hereto, such land to be used for constructing a new road and notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the Post Office at Cheviot and is there open for inspection; that all persons directly affected by the taking of the said land, not being an objection to the amount or payment of compensation, make a written objection and send it within 40 days after the first publication of this notice to the Planning Tribunal at Wellington, and that if any objection is made in accordance with this notice a public hearing of the objection will be held unless the objector otherwise requires and each objector will be advised of the time and place of the hearing.

Declaring Land Taken for a State Primary School in the City of Wanganui
PURSUANT to section 32 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Works and Development hereby declares that, a sufficient agreement to that effect having been entered into, the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for a State primary school, from and after the 3rd day of August 1978.

Queen Elizabeth the Second Arts Council of New Zealand: Designation of Administrative Local Authority for Community Arts Council
PURSUANT to section 36 of the Queen Elizabeth the Second Arts Council of New Zealand Act 1974, I hereby designate the Horowhenua County Council to be the administrative local authority in respect of the Horowhenua Community Arts Council.

New Zealand Greyhound Racing Association (Inc.)
IN pursuance and exercise of the power contained in section 101 of the Racing Act 1971, the New Zealand Greyhound Racing Association (Inc.) resolves to, and does hereby, make the following rules controlling the admission of persons to all racecourses used by racing clubs which are now, or may at any time hereafter, be registered with the said New Zealand Greyhound Racing Association (Inc.).
RULES
UNDER THE RACING ACT 1971
