Approval of Motor Cycle Safety Helmets in Terms of Traffic Regulations 1976

PURSUANT to subclause (1) of regulation 88 of the Traffic Regulations 1976*, the Secretary for Transport hereby approves, for the purpose of regulation 31 of the said regulations, motor cycle safety helmets of the make and type described in the Schedule hereto.

Exemption of Certain Motor Vehicles from the Height Restriction for Front Direction Indicators

PURSUANT to subclause (1) of regulation 90 of the Traffic Regulations 1976*, the Secretary for Transport hereby exempts motor vehicles of the type specified in the Schedule hereto from the requirements of subclause 2 (a) of regulation 63 of the said regulations, in respect of the maximum height of 1.5 metres that a front direction indicator may be mounted above the ground:

Constitution of Queenstown Fire District Notice 1978

PURSUANT to section 26 of the Fire Service Act 1975, the New Zealand Fire Service Commission hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

1. Title and commencement: (1) This notice shall be cited as the Queenstown Fire District Notice 1978.
   (2) This notice shall come into effect on the 1st day of August 1978.

2. The Queenstown Fire District declared to be a fire district by section 26 (1) of the Fire Service Act 1975 is hereby abolished.

3. Pursuant to section 26 (2) (b) of the Fire Service Act 1975 a fire district, to be known as the Queenstown Fire District, is hereby constituted.

4. The boundaries of the Queenstown Fire District constituted by this notice are hereby defined in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

ALL that area in the Otago Land District, Lake County, and Queenstown Borough containing 8000 hectares, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at a point on the northern shore of Lake Wakatipu in line with the, generally, eastern boundary of the Borough of Queenstown, and proceeding, generally, south-westerly along that northern shore to a point in line with the eastern boundary of Section 13, Block I, mid Wakatipu Survey District; thence northerly to and along the eastern boundary of that section, and its production to a line parallel to and distant 750 metres northward to the southern boundary of Run 794 and the north-western side of Fern Hill Road; thence easterly and north-easterly along that line to the south-western boundary of part Section 27, Block I, aforesaid; thence north-westerly, north-easterly and south-easterly along the south-western, north-western, and north-eastern boundaries of that part section to a point in line with the north-western boundary of Section 110, Block XX, Shotover Survey District; thence north-easterly to and along the generally north-western boundary of that section to the south-western corner of part Section 66, Block XX, aforesaid; thence, generally, northerly along the western boundary of that section, and the, generally, eastern boundary of Run 794 to the north-western corner of Section 79, Block XIX, Shotover Survey District; thence easterly along the northern boundary of that section and its production to the left bank of the Shotover River; thence, generally, north-westerly along the left bank of Run 737; thence north-easterly to and along that boundary to the south-western boundary of Section 140, Block XIX, Shotover Survey District; thence south-easterly, generally, north-easterly and south-easterly along the south-western, generally, south-eastern and south-western boundaries of that section and the north-eastern boundary of Lot 3, D.P. 12711, to the easternmost corner of that lot; thence south-westerly and south-easterly along the south-eastern and north-eastern boundaries of that lot and the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the middle of Atley Road; thence, generally, north-easterly along the middle of that road and south-easterly along the middle of Littles Road to a point in line with the north-western boundary of Section 37, Block XIX, Shotover Survey District; thence south-westerly, southerly and easterly along the north-western, western, and southern boundaries of that section to the easternmost corner of Section 96, Block XIX, Shotover Survey District; thence due south to the left bank of the Shotover River; thence generally easterly along that bank to a point in line with the southern boundary of the unnamed road forming the northern boundary of Sections 124, 127, and 118, Block III, Shotover Survey District; thence, generally, easterly to and along the southern side of that unnamed road and the south-western side of Domain Road to the middle of Lower Shotover Road; thence south-easterly and southerly
