Notice of Intention to Vary Hours of Sale of Liquor at Chartered Club—Gisborne Licensing Committee

PURSUANT to section 221A of the Sale of Liquor Act 1962 as amended by section 22 (14) of the Sale of Liquor Amendment Act 1976, I, Gordon Stewart Orr, Secretary for Justice, on 8 June 1978, made an order authorising variations of the usual hours of trading for the Chartered Club premises known as the Waikaremoana District Club, Tuia.

To the intent that on days other than those on which licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general public, the hours for the opening and closing of the said premises shall be as follows:

(a) On any Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday (not being Christmas Eve or New Year’s Eve)—opening at 5 o’clock in the afternoon and closing at 8 o’clock in the evening.

(b) On any Friday (not being New Year’s Eve or Christmas Eve)—opening at 5 o’clock in the afternoon and closing at 11 o’clock in the evening.

(c) On any Saturday (not being New Year’s Eve and Christmas Eve—the first hour of opening shall be 11 o’clock in the morning and the first hour of closing shall be 5 o’clock in the afternoon. The second hour of opening shall be 7 o’clock in the evening and the second hour of closing shall be 11 o’clock in the evening.

(d) On New Year’s Eve—the first hour of opening shall be 11 o’clock in the morning and the first hour of closing shall be 5 o’clock in the afternoon. The second hour of opening shall be 7 o’clock in the evening and the second hour of closing shall be 0.30 o’clock in the morning of New Year’s Day.

PURSUANT to section 221A of the Sale of Liquor Act 1962 as amended by section 22 (14) of the Sale of Liquor Amendment Act 1976, I, Gordon Stewart Orr, Secretary for Justice, hereby give notice that the Gisborne Licensing Committee, on 8 June 1978, made an order authorising variations of the usual hours of trading for the licensed premises known as the Patutahi Hotel, Patutahi.

To the intent that on days other than those on which licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the public, the hours for the opening and closing of the said premises shall be as follows:

(a) On any Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday (not being Christmas Eve or New Year’s Eve)—opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 10 o’clock in the evening.

(b) On Christmas Eve—opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 11 o’clock in the evening.

(c) On New Year’s Eve—opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 0.30 o’clock in the morning of New Year’s Day.

Subject to the condition that a substantial meal be available from 9 o’clock in the evening on each evening when the premises are open for more than the usual 11 hours in any one day.

To the intent that on days other than those which licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the public, the hours for the opening and closing of the said premises shall be as follows:

(a) On any Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday (not being Christmas Eve or New Year’s Eve)—opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 10 o’clock in the evening.

(b) On Christmas Eve—opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 11 o’clock in the evening.

(c) On New Year’s Eve—opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 0.30 o’clock in the morning of New Year’s Day.

(a) On any Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday (not being New Year’s Eve)—opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 10 o’clock in the evening.

(b) On any Friday and Saturday (not being New Year’s Eve)—opening at 10 o’clock in the morning and closing at 10 o’clock in the evening.

(c) On New Year’s Eve—opening at 9 o’clock in the morning and closing at 10 o’clock in the evening.
