CHRISTCHURCH CITY COUNCIL
NOTICE OF MAKING AND EFFECT OF RECOMMENDATION TO
EXTEND THE CLEAN AIR ZONE IN THE CITY OF CHRISTCHURCH
Notice is hereby given:
(a) That the Christchurch City Council has made a recom-
mendation under section 12 of the Clean Air Act 1972,
to extend the provisions of the Clean Air Zone
(Christchurch) Order 1977. The general effect of such
recommendation is to apply the provisions of the
clean air zone to all dwellings within the City of
Christchurch, whether erected before or after 14 July
1977, in which new or additional fuel burning equip-
ment is to be installed.
(b) A copy of the recommendation and a list of the approved
fuels and fuel burning equipment may be inspected at
the Christchurch City Council Chambers, 194
Manchester Street, by any person free of charge
between the hours of 8.30 a.m. and 4.30 p.m., Monday
to Friday, during a period of 6 weeks from the date
of the last publication of the notice.
(c) Within the said period, any person who will be affected
by the implementation of the recommendation may,
by notice in writing to the Minister of Health and
supplying a copy of the notice to the local authority,
object to the recommendation.
