Notice of Intention to Take Land in Block X, Port Nicholson Survey District, City of Wellington, for the Purposes of an Aerodrome
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take for the purposes of an aerodrome, the land described in the Schedule hereto, together with the rights of way appurtenant thereto, created by Transfer 783083 and Transfer 783085, such land to be used for the erection of two new buildings on Hawkins Hill in connection with the established radar installation.
And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post office at Brooklyn and is there open for inspection; that all persons directly affected by the taking of the said land, should, if they have an objection to the amount or payment of compensation, make a written objection and send it within 40 days after the first publication of this notice, to the Town and Country Planning Appeal Board at Wellington; and that, if any objection is made in accordance with this notice, a public hearing of the objection will be held, unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be advised of the time and place of the hearing.

640 Part Lot 1, D.P. 26908, as shown on plan S.O. 31242, lodged in the office of the Chief Surveyor at Wellington, and thereon marked “A”.
Both these areas of land are situated on the western side of the right of way which gives access to the existing radar installations on Hawkins Hill. The larger area of 4028 square metres (the base building site) is approximately 1 kilometre down from the summit, while the smaller area of 640 square metres (the head building site) is at the summit. Both sites have fencing on the right of way boundary with the head building site dropping away from the right of way and the base building site being undulating in contour.

Declaring an Interest in Land Taken for the Purposes of Street Widening in Block II, Paekakariki Survey District, Borough of Kapiti
PURSUANT to section 32 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Works and Development hereby declares that a sufficient agreement to that effect having been entered into, the interest in the land described in the Schedule hereto, held by Charles Thurston Ellis, of Paekakariki, printer, and Lynette Royce Ellis, his wife, as joint tenants under, and by virtue of deferred payment licence No. D.P.U. 3063, recorded in Register Book No. B3/85, Wellington Land Registry, is hereby taken for the purpose of street widening and shall vest in the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the Borough of Kapiti, from and after the 18th day of May 1978.

Declaring Land Taken for Maori Housing Purposes in the Borough of Patea
PURSUANT to section 32 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Works and Development hereby declares that, a sufficient agreement to that effect having been entered into, the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for Maori housing purposes, from and after the 18th day of May 1978.

PURSUANT to section 29 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1948, the Minister of Works and Development hereby proclaims as road the land described in the First Schedule hereto, which land shall vest in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Waima, and also hereby proclaims as an access way the land described in the Second Schedule hereto, which land shall vest in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Waima, and also hereby proclaims that the road described in the Third Schedule hereto is hereby closed and added to the adjoining land held for buildings of the General Government described in the Fourth Schedule hereto.
