NOTICE UNDER SECTION 34 (3)

Notice is hereby given that the Waipukurau Permanent Investment and Building Society whose registered office is at Northumberland Street, Waipukurau, desires to transfer its engagements to The Hawke’s Bay Mutual Permanent Building Society, and that the Society first named in this paragraph has applied to the Registrar of Building Societies to confirm the transfer notwithstanding that the consent in writing of the holders of two-thirds of the whole number of shares in the said Society has not been obtained in manner required by the Building Societies Act 1965.

Notice is hereby further given that the Hawke’s Bay Mutual Permanent Building Society whose registered office is at No. 114 Queen Street, East, Hastings, desires to accept a transfer of the engagements of the Waipukurau Permanent Investment and Building Society, and that the Society first named in this paragraph has applied to the Registrar of Building Societies to confirm the transfer notwithstanding that the consent in writing of the holders of two-thirds of the whole number of shares in the said society has not been obtained in manner required by the Building Societies Act 1965.

Each of the above-mentioned applications will be heard on the 28th day of February 1978.

Any person wishing to be heard on either of the said applications should apply by letter to the Registrar of Building Societies, Government Life Insurance Buildings, P.O. Box 1062, Wellington, at least 7 days before the date of the hearing.

In our opinion, according to the best of our information and the explanations given to us and as shown by the books, the balance sheet and the statement of profit, together with the notes thereon, are properly drawn up so as to give a true and fair view of the state of the Bank’s affairs as at 30 September 1977 and the results of its business for the year ended on that date.

According to such information and explanations the accounts, the balance sheet and the statement of profit, together with the notes thereon, give the information required by the Companies Act 1955 in the manner so required.
