Inquiry by Emergency Protection Authority
Notice is hereby given that the Minister of Trade and Industry, acting pursuant to the provisions of section 10B of the Industries Development Commission Act 1961, has requested the Emergency Protection Authority to undertake an inquiry in relation to the importation of Polyvinyl Chloride Compounds classified in items 39.02.017 and 39.02.018, of the New Zealand Customs Tariff, and to report to him in terms of section 10D of the said Act, on the following matters, namely:
(a) Whether urgent action is necessary to protect that industry in relation to the importation of such goods; and
(b) If such action is considered necessary, the nature of the protection that is considered by the Authority to be appropriate in all circumstances, and the extent and duration of such protection.

Otago Raspberry Marketing Committee Election

Pursuant to the Second Schedule to the Raspberry Marketing Regulations, notice is hereby given that the roll of those persons qualified to vote for the election of two producers' representatives in the Southern Ward, to the Otago Raspberry Marketing Committee will be open for inspection during ordinary office hours at the following places, viz: Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, Head Office, Wellington; also at the offices of the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries at Oamaru, Dunedin, Roxburgh, and Alexandra, and at the office of A. P. Hayes (Secretary), 37A Thames Street, Oamaru.
The roll will be available for public inspection for a period of 7 days from 25 May 1978, during which period any person may lodge with the Returning Officer an objection in writing under his hand to any entry on the roll.
Nomination forms may be obtained on application to any of the above offices or from the Returning Officer, Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, Dunedin. Nominations must be in the hands of the Returning Officer not later than noon on the 12th day of July 1978.

Pursuant to the Second Schedule to the Raspberry Marketing Regulations 1976, notice is hereby given that the roll of producers qualified to vote for the election of four producers' representatives to the Canterbury Raspberry Marketing Committee will be open for public inspection during ordinary office hours for a period of 7 days from 19 May 1978 at the following places:
The offices of the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries at Christchurch, Ashburton, Rangiora and Head Office, Wellington.
Nomination forms may be obtained on application to any of the above offices or from the Returning Officer, Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, Christchurch.
Nominations must be received by the Returning Officer not later than noon on the 14th day of June 1978.

Pursuant to the Second Schedule of the Raspberry Marketing Regulations 1976, notice is hereby given that the roll of those persons qualified to vote for the election of four producers' representatives to the Nelson Raspberry Marketing Committee will be open for inspection during ordinary office hours at the following places, viz: Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, Head Office, Wellington, Nelson and Blenheim; also at the following post offices, viz: Motueka, Upper Motueka, Wakefield, Brightwater, Nelson, Tapawera, Tadmor and Blenheim.
The roll will be available for public inspection for a period of 7 days from 26 May 1978.

Amendments to the Rules of the Stock Exchange Association of New Zealand
Pursuant to section 11 of the Sharebrokers Act 1908, the Governor-General in Council on 10 April 1978, approved the following amendments to the Rules of the Stock Exchange Association of New Zealand.
AMENDMENTS TO THE RULES OF THE STOCK EXCHANGE ASSOCIATION OF NEW ZEALAND
- Rule 44
Rule 44 is amended by deleting in the second paragraph the words "to all Exchanges:" and substituting the words "to any Exchange upon request".
- Rule 95
Rule 95 is deleted and the following Rule is substituted:
95 (1) The following scale of fees shall be adopted by all members for valuation of all listed securities:
.2 percent on the first $25,000 of the total valuation.
.1 percent on the balance of the total valuation in excess of $25,000.
The minimum charge per line shall be $2 and the minimum overall fee shall be $10.
Provided the chairman of an exchange may authorise a member of such Exchange to negotiate with his client for a greater or lesser charge should circumstances in the chairman's opinion warrant such action.
(2) The examination of a portfolio is a service not falling within this rule and may be subject to a reasonable fee.
- Rule 128
Rule 128 is amended by adding after the words "any transfer" the phrase "which requires the signature of the transferee".
- Rule 148
Rule 148 is amended by adding the following paragraph:
Where a member is requested to supply an article on stock exchange matters he may do so only with consent of the Chairman or the Committee. In this case it may be published in his own name as a member of an Exchange but with no reference to his particular firm.

Notice of Intention to Vary Hours of Sale of Liquor at Licensed PremisesβClutha Licensing Trust
Pursuant to section 34B (10) of the Licensing Trust Act 1949, as amended by section 14 of the Licensing Trusts Amendment Act 1976, I, Gordon Stewart Orr, Secretary for Justice, hereby give notice that the Clutha Licensing Trust applied for orders, which were granted in the Magistrate's Court at Balclutha on 18 April 1978, which authorised variations of the usual hours of trading for the licensed premises known as the Greenfield Tavern, Clydevale.
To the intent that on days other than those on which licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the public, the hours for the opening and closing of the said premises shall be as follows:
(a) On any Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday opening at 11 o'clock in the morning and closing at 10 o'clock in the evening.
(b) On any Saturday (not being New Year's Eve) opening at 11 o'clock in the morning and closing at 11 o'clock in the evening
