Reservation of Land

PURSUANT to the Land Act 1948, the Minister of Lands hereby sets apart the land described in the Schedule hereto as a reserve, subject to classification under section 16 of the Reserves Act 1977.

Revocation of the Reservation Over Part of a Reserve Specifying the Manner of Disposal and How Proceeds of Sale Shall be Utilised

PURSUANT to the Reserves Act 1977, the Minister of Lands hereby revokes the reservation as a reserve for refuse disposal purposes over the land, described in the Schedule hereto, and further declares that the said land may be disposed of by the Whakatane District Council in such manner, at such price, and on such terms and conditions as the District Council shall determine, the proceeds from any such sale to be paid into Council’s reserves account, such moneys to be used and applied in or toward the improvement of other public reserves under the control of the Council, or in or towards the purchase of other land for public reserves.

Declaration That Land is a Public Reserve

PURSUANT to the Reserves Act 1977, the Minister of Lands hereby notifies that the following resolution was passed by the Tauranga City Council on the 19th day of December 1977: “That, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 14 of the Reserves Act 1977, the Tauranga City Council hereby resolves that those pieces of land held by the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the said city in fee simple, and described in the First and Second Schedules hereto, shall be and the same are hereby declared to be reserves for local purpose (road) and recreation respectively within the meaning of the said Act.”

Price Order No. 88 (Ecuadorian Bananas)

PURSUANT to the Commerce Act 1975, I, Desmond James Gasson, pursuant to a delegation from the Secretary of Trade and Industry hereby make the following price order:

  1. This order may be cited as Price Order No. 88 and shall come into force on the 1st day of May 1978.

  2. (1) Price Order No. 79* is hereby revoked.

(2) The revocation of the said order shall not affect the liability of any person for any offence in relation thereto committed before the coming into force of this order.

  1. References in this order to metropolitan areas are references to the metropolitan areas described in the Schedule hereto.

APPLICATION OF THIS ORDER

  1. This order applies with respect to all Ecuadorian bananas sold by way of retail in New Zealand.

MAXIMUM RETAIL PRICES OF ECUADORIAN BANANAS

  1. (1) The maximum price that may be charged or received by any retailer for any Ecuadorian bananas to which this order applies shall be:

(a) When sold by a retailer carrying on business in any of the metropolitan areas of Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, or Dunedin, or in any of the Cities or Boroughs of Whangarei, Hamilton, Tauranga, Rotorua, Gisborne, New Plymouth, Stratford, Hawera, Wanganui, Palmerston North, Napier, Hastings, Masterton, Blenheim, Nelson, Greymouth, Timaru, Westport, Oamaru, Balclutha, Gore or Invercargill—

34 cents a lb.

Or where the scales used by the retailer weigh in metric weights—

75 cents a kilogram.

(b) When sold by a retailer carrying on business elsewhere—

35 cents a lb.

Or where the scales used by the retailer weigh in metric weights—

77 cents a kilogram.

(2) If in respect of any lot of bananas the price calculated in accordance with the foregoing provisions of this clause is
