I, Patrick John McKone, Acting Comptroller of Customs, give notice that I have applied to the Indecent Publications Tribunal for a decision as to whether the books described below are indecent or not, or for a decision as to their classification.

Notice of Approval of Bylaws

PURSUANT to section 165 of the Harbours Act 1950, I, Owen John Conway, of the Ministry of Transport, in exercise of powers delegated by the Minister of Transport, hereby approve the Beach Control Bylaw 1977, made by the Dannevirke County Council and passed by an ordinary meeting of the said Council held on 8 November 1977 and confirmed at an ordinary meeting of the said Council held on 3 December 1977.

Notice of Intention to Vary Hours of Sale of Liquor at Licensed Premises—Geraldine Licensing Trust

PURSUANT to section 34B (10) of the Licensing Trusts Act 1949, as amended by section 14 of the Licensing Trusts Amendment Act 1976, I, Gordon Stewart Orr, Secretary for Justice, hereby give notice that the Geraldine Licensing Trust applied for orders, which were granted in the Magistrate’s Court at Timaru on 15 March 1978, which authorised variations of the usual hours for the sale of liquor to the public, and further authorised the following hours of trading for the licensed premises known as the Crown Hotel, Geraldine.

(a) On any Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (not being Christmas Eve or New Year’s Eve) opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 10 o’clock in the evening.

(b) On every Saturday from the 1st day of April to the 18th day of October (inclusive) in each year opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 10.45 in the evening.

(c) On every Friday and Saturday from the 19th day of October to the 31st day of March (inclusive) in each year, opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 10.45 in the evening.

(d) On every Christmas Eve opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 10.45 in the evening.

(e) On every New Year’s Eve opening at 11 o’clock in the morning and closing at 0.15 o’clock in the morning of New Year’s Day.

Notice Declaring Lands to be Infected Areas Under Potato Cyst Nematode Regulations 1974 (No. 1925 Ag. 61422)

PURSUANT to regulation 3 (1) of the Potato Cyst Nematode Regulations 1974 notice is hereby given that the following lands are declared to be infected areas:

(a) The land on which potato cyst nematode has been found—

(i) An area of 23 acres 3 roods 16.4 perches, or thereabouts, situated south of and adjoining Reeves Road in Blocks VII and VIII of the Christchurch Survey District, being part of Lot 2, D.P. 11765, part of Rural Section 1705, C.T. 496/225 (Canterbury Registry).

Notice Declaring Lands to be Infected under Potato Cyst Nematode Regulations 1974 (No. 1924 Ag. 61422)

PURSUANT to regulation 3 (1) of the Potato Cyst Nematode Regulations 1974, notice is hereby given that the following lands are declared to be infected areas:

(a) The land on which potato cyst nematode has been found—

(i) An area of 52 acres, or thereabouts, situated at and adjoining the south end of School Road and adjoining Dickeys Road, being in Block III of the Christchurch Survey District, R.S. 788, being Lot 1 on D.P. 3789, C.T. 287/173 (Canterbury Registry).

(ii) An area of 95 acres 1 rood 36 perches, a little more or less, situated south-east of and adjoining South Island road in Block III of the Christchurch Survey District, being R.S. 37574, and part of Rural Section 37573, C.T. 521/142 (Canterbury Registry).

(iii) An area of 11 acres and 28.6 perches, or thereabouts, situated south of and adjoining Harewood Road and east of and adjoining Stanleys Road, being in Block VI of the Christchurch Survey District, being Lot 1 on D.P. 19059, part of Rural Section 57, C.T. 714/18 (Canterbury Registry)

(iv) An area of 4.2191 hectares, or thereabouts, situated north of and adjoining Middle Island Road, being in Block III of the Christchurch Survey District, being Lot 4 on D.P. 33352, C.T. 16A/1178 of the Rural Section 1170 (Canterbury Registry).

(b) Other lands within a radius of 80 kilometres of the land described in paragraph (a) above being—

(i) An area of 7 acres and 2 perches, or thereabouts, situated north-east of and adjoining Grassmere Street in Block VII of the Christchurch Survey District, being Lot 1, D.P. 7419, part of Rural Section 308, C.T. 367/149 (Canterbury Registry).

(ii) An area of 14 acres 2 roods 38 perches, or thereabouts, being situated north-east of and adjoining Harewood Road being in Block VI of the Christchurch Survey District, being Lot 1 on D.P. 2712, part of Rural Section 394, C.T. 251/188 (Canterbury Registry).

(iii) An area of 10 acres and 1 rood, or thereabouts, being situated north of and adjoining Harewood Road and east of and adjoining Watsons Road in Block VI of the Christchurch Survey District, being Lot 3 on D.P. 4313, part of Rural Section 1117, C.T. 297/283 (Canterbury Registry).

(iv) An area of 16.2231 hectares, or thereabouts, situated north of and adjoining Middle Island Road in Blocks II and III of the Christchurch Survey District, being Lots 1, 2, 3, and 5 on D.P. 33352, C.T. 16A/1175, 16A/1176, 16A/1177, and 16A/1179 of Rural Section 1170 (Canterbury Registry).
