PURSUANT to section 332 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Maori Land Board hereby gives notice as follows.

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as Maori Land Development Notice Gisborne 1978, No. 3.

  2. The notice referred to in the First Schedule hereto is hereby revoked.

  3. The land described in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby released from Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953.

Notice of Acquisition of Public Reserve by the Crown

PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, notice is hereby given that the land, described in the Schedule hereto, has been acquired as a reserve for scenic purposes, subject to the provisions of Part IV of the said Act, to form part of the Popotunua Hill Scenic Reserve to be administered as a scenic reserve by the Royal Forest and Bird Protection Society (Otago) Inc.

Approval of Red Reflectors in Terms of the Traffic Regulations 1976

PURSUANT to regulation 88 (1) of the Traffic Regulations 1976*, the Secretary for Transport hereby approves, for the purpose of regulation 62 (2), (3), (4) and (5) of the said regulations, rear red reflectors of the make and type described in the schedule below.

SCHEDULE

Red reflectors, approximately 80 millimetres in diameter, manufactured under the name of “De Neefe Hi-Line Delineators” and having embossed on the outer face the name “De Neefe”.

The Standards Act 1965—Draft Amendment to New Zealand Standard Specification Available for Comment

PURSUANT to subsection (3) of section 23 of the Standards Act 1965, notice is hereby given that the following draft amendment is being circulated.

Number and Description of Draft

DZ 1057/A1 Draft amendment to NZS 1057:1967 Stretchers for ambulance purposes.

This amendment reduces the diameter of stretcher handles to achieve compatibility with stretcher fittings in New Zealand military aircraft.

All persons who may be affected by this amendment and who desire to comment thereon may obtain copies from the Standards Association of New Zealand, World Trade Center, 15-23 Sturdee Street (or Private Bag), Wellington.

The closing date for receipt of comment is 3 February 1978.

PURSUANT to section 23 of the Standards Act 1965, the Standards Council, on 16 December 1977, revoked the undermentioned standard specifications.

NZS 251:1959 (BS 768:1958) Slotted grub screws.
NZS 799:1962 (BS 1452:1961) Grey iron castings.
NZS 1079:1967 (BS 1735:1966) Flanged cast iron outside-screw-and-yoke wedge gate valves, Class 125, sizes 1½ in. to 24 in., for the petroleum industry.
