Notice of Decision No. 27 of the Commerce Commission

PURSUANT to section 29 (11) of the Commerce Act 1975, public notice is hereby given of Decision No. 27 of the Commerce Commission, dated 16 March 1978.

This decision relates to the application by the New Zealand Stock and Station Agents’ Association for approval of certain collective pricing agreements. By this decision the Commission approves the agreements operated by the New Zealand Stock and Station Agents’ Association and registered with the Commission as applications numbered 6 and 26, subject in each case to the following conditions:

(i) That, where the maximum amounts allowed to be charged under any scale of fees and charges issued in terms of this approval are subject to control under any statute or regulations, the said scale of fees and charges, and any alteration to the scale of fees and charges, must comply with any relevant provisions of such control legislation.

(ii) That, where the maximum amounts allowed to be charged under any scale of fees and charges issued in terms of this approval are not subject to control under any statute or regulations, the said fees and charges and any alteration to the scale of fees and charges must be submitted for approval by the Commerce Commission.

(iii) That any scale of fees and charges issued in terms of the approval be clearly headed to show that the prescribed fees and charges are the maximum which may be charged.

(iv) That the Association inform its members that they are free to charge lower fees without the risk of incurring sanctions of any kind, such information to be attached to or contained in any scale of fees and charges issued to members in terms of the approval.

The full text of this decision is available for inspection at the Commission’s office, sixth floor, Chase-NBA House, 163 The Terrace, Wellington, and copies may be obtained for a cost of $2.70 each.

The Standards Act 1965—Draft Amendment to New Zealand Standard Specification Available for Comment

PURSUANT to subsection (3) of section 23 of the Standards Act 1965, notice is hereby given that the following draft amendment is being circulated.

Number and Description of Draft

DZ 4211/A1 Draft amendment No. 1 to NZS 4211:1976 Performance of windows.

Testing of windows to this standard, published in 1976, has shown a need for some amendment to some of the clauses.

All persons who may be affected by this amendment, and who desire to comment thereon, may obtain copies from the Standards Association of New Zealand, World Trade Center, 15-23 Sturdee Street (for Private Bag), Wellington.

The closing date for the receipt of comment is 30 May 1978.
