Stipendiary Magistrate Appointed

PURSUANT to section 5 of the Magistrates Court Act 1947 and Section 7 (2) of the Domestic Proceedings Act 1968 and Section 21 of the Children and Young Persons Act 1974, His Excellency, the Governor-General has been pleased to appoint

Anthony John Ryan

of Tauranga, barrister and solicitor, to be a Stipendiary Magistrate, to exercise civil and criminal jurisdiction in New Zealand; the jurisdiction of the Children and Young Persons Courts and the domestic jurisdiction of the Magistrates Courts.

Appointment of University of Hawke’s Bay Trust Board Members

PURSUANT to section 4 of the University of Hawke’s Bay Trust Act 1960, the following members have been appointed to be members of the University of Hawke’s Bay Trust Board, each for a term of 3 years.

By His Excellency the Governor-General, Walter Edwin Bate, O.B.E., of Hastings; Harold Edward Parkhurst Downes, of Pataka; and Arthur William Miller, of Napier.

By the Minister of Internal Affairs, John Richard Harrison, Member of Parliament for Hawke’s Bay.
