All that area in the Otago and Southland Land Districts, and the Vincent County, bounded by a line commencing at Trig I, Rocky Mountain, Obelisk Survey District, Southland Land District, and proceeding due east to the middle of Lake Roxburgh situated in the Otago Land District; thence generally north-easterly along the middle of Lake Roxburgh and the Clutha River to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary of part Section 6, Block I, Fraser Survey District, on the south-eastern boundary of the Borough of Alexandra hereinbefore described; thence generally south-westerly and northerly along the generally south-eastern and western boundaries of that borough to a point in the middle of the Clutha River in line with the south-eastern boundary of Lot 21, D.P. 3194; thence generally north-westerly up the middle of that river to a point in line with the northern boundary of part Section 4, Block XVI, Leaning Rock Survey District; thence westerly to and along the northern and north-western boundaries of that part Section 4 to the northernmost corner of part Run 249; thence generally south-westerly along the north-western boundary of that part run to the north-eastern boundary of part Run 339D; thence generally south-easterly along the north-eastern boundary of that part run, Section 1309R, Block IV, Bannockburn Survey District, part Run 339D again, and generally south-westerly along the south-eastern boundaries of that part run, Run 339G, and part Run 339F, to the north-eastern boundary of Run 548 in Obelisk Survey District, Southland Land District; thence north-westerly and south-westerly along the north-eastern and north-western boundaries of that run to the Vincent County boundary hereinbefore described; thence south-easterly along that boundary to the point of commencement.

The Standards Act 1965—Overseas Amendments Proposed for Declaration as Amendments to New Zealand Standards

Pursuant to section 23 of the Standards Act 1965, notice is hereby given that the under-mentioned amendments are being considered for declaration as amendments to the relevant New Zealand standard specifications.

BS 2769:1964 (NZS 2163:1967) Portable electric motor-operated tools.
Amendment No. 4 (AMD 924, $2.10).
Amendment No. 5 (AMD 1214, $2.10).
Amendment No. 6 (AMD 1467, 75c).
Amendment No. 7 (AMD 1719, gratis).

AMD 924 adds to list of reference standards, inserts a paragraph on British Electricity Regulations, provides an augmented table for supply-cord cross-sections, changes the normal-load formula for facial grinders, facial polishers and rotating disc sanders, updates several references and makes minor textual changes.

AMD 1214 contains very minor technical and textual changes.

AMD 1467 adds a components-parts test.

AMD 1719 is of use only to those holding a 1972 reprint of the standard which omitted part of Amendment 4 above.

BS 3676:1963 (NZS 2065:1966) Switches for domestic and similar purposes (for fixed or portable mounting).
Amendment No. 5 (AMD 1487, $3.25). This amendment revises the foreword extensively and completes metrication of the standard.

BS 3871:—— (NZS 2205:——) Miniature and moulded case circuit-breakers—
Part 1:1965 (NZS 2205: Pt 1: 1968) Miniature air-break circuit-breakers for a.c. circuits.
Amendment No. 2 (AMD 1612, $3.25).

This amendment metricates the standard, changes the conditions for type-tests of circuit-breakers, reorganizes and augments the table on "Operating duties" in the section on design and construction, alters somewhat the shock test apparatus diagram and makes minor textual changes.

BS 4568:—— (NZS 6221:——), Steel conduit and fittings with metric threads of ISO form for electrical installations—
Part 2:1970 (NZS 6221: Pt 2: 1972) Fittings and components.
Amendment No. 2 (AMD 1849, 75c).

This amendment makes very minor textual and technical changes and as such is proceeding to declaration by SANZ at the recommendation of the Director without committee hearings.

BS 4647:1970 (NZS 6301:1963) Lighting sets for Christmas trees and decorative purposes for indoor use.
Amendment No. 1 (AMD 2238, 75c).

This amendment adds a short-circuit test, a specification on securing of lampholders, additions to marking requirements and minor textual changes.

Amendment No. 2 (AMD 2398, 75c).

Supplies an entire revision of clauses on materials, connection to supply, and a part of the section on wiring; adds a test for construction of lampholders and other terminations; and makes other minor changes.

All persons who may be affected by these amendments and who desire to comment thereon, may obtain copies at the prices shown, from the Standards Association of New Zealand, 15-23 Sturdee Street (or Private Bag), Wellington.

The closing date for the receipt of comments is 7 April 1978.

BSI/CP 1009:1959 (Amendment No. 1, AMD 1215, 75c) Maintenance of insulating oil (with special reference to transformers and switchgear). (NZ CP 23:1960)

This amendment deletes the original test method for electric strength in favour of that in BS 148:1972.

All persons who may be affected by these amendments and who desire to comment thereon, may obtain copies at the prices shown, from the Standards Association of New Zealand, World Trade Center, 15-23 Sturdee Street (or Private Bag), Wellington.

Notice is hereby given that the under-mentioned New Zealand standard specifications have been recommended for revocation pursuant to the provisions of the Standards Act 1965.

Any person who may be affected by the proposal to revoke these standard specifications, and who wishes to object to their revocation, is invited to submit comments to the Standards Association of New Zealand, Private Bag, Wellington, not later than 6 April 1978.
