NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
IN the matter of the Public Works Act 1928:
TAKE notice that the Dannevirke Borough Council proposes to take certain land for a public works, namely for a rubbish dump, under the Public Works Act 1928.
The land proposed to be taken has a total area of 5.5876 hectares.
The land in question is bounded by the Tapuata Stream on the north and by the Dannevirke Borough Council's existing rubbish tip on the east. Part of the land in question forms part of the land presently described in certificate of title, Volume 160, folio 133 (Hawke's Bay Registry), and the balance of the land is part of the land described in certificate of title, Volume G2, folio 485 (Hawke's Bay Registry).
A plan showing the land required to be taken together with the names of the owners and occupiers of such land (so far as they can be ascertained) is deposited at the offices of the Dannevirke Borough Council which is situated at the Town Hall, High Street, Dannevirke, and may be inspected there without charge by all persons at any time between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Mondays to Friday inclusive.
Every person directly affected by the taking of this land may set forth in writing any objection he may wish to make to the taking of the land (not being an objection to the amount or payment of compensation). Such written objections must be lodged with the Town and Country Planning Appeal Board, Tribunals Division, Justice Department, Private Bag, Wellington, within 40 days after the first publication of this notice.
If any objection is made then a public hearing of the objection will be held, unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be advised of the time and place of such hearing. If no objections are received within 40 days of the first publication of this notice then the Dannevirke Borough Council may proceed to take the land in accordance with the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928 without further notice.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
IN the matter of the Public Works Act 1928, and in the matter of the Rangitikei-Wanganui Catchment Board:
NOTICE is hereby given that the Rangitikei-Wanganui Catchment Board proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take land for the purpose of soil conservation and river control. The land required to be taken is that described in the Schedule hereto; and notice is hereby given further that plans of the land so required are deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of the said Board situate in Hammond Street, Marton, and are open for inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours; and that all persons directly affected by the taking of the land (not being an objection to the amount of payment of compensation if any) must state their objection in writing and send the same to the Secretary, Town and Country Planning Appeals Board, P.O. Box 12244, Wellington North, so as to reach him no later than 40 days after the first publication of this notice.
If any objection is made in accordance with this notice a public hearing of the objection will be held, unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be advised of the time and place of the hearing.

The area of the land is 68.4519 hectares approximately, be the same a little more or less, situate in the Land Registration District of Wellington as more particularly described hereafter.
