The Traffic (Hawke's Bay County) Notice No. 1, 1978

Pursuant to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Hawke's Bay County) Notice No. 1, 1978.

  2. The roads specified in the First Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be closely populated localities pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

  3. The roads specified in the Second Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be 70 kilometres an hour speed limit areas pursuant to regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976*.

  4. The Traffic (Hawke's Bay County) Notice No. 2, 1976, dated the 25th day of June 1976†, issued pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962 and regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956, which relates to roads situated within Hawke's Bay County adjacent to Hastings City, is hereby revoked.

No. 2 State Highway (Pokeno-Wellington via Gisborne): from the north-eastern boundary of Hastings City at Collinge Road to a point 50 metres measured north-easterly, generally, along the said highway from Kenilworth Road.

Coventry Road.

Howard Street: from a point 60 metres measured south-easterly, generally, along the said street from Windsor Avenue to a point 320 metres measured south-easterly, generally, along the said street from Windsor Avenue.

Jellicoe Street.

Kenilworth Road.

Lyndhurst Road: from Pakowhai Road to a point 1300 metres measured north-westerly, generally, along the said road from Pakowhai Road.

Oliphant Road.

Pakowhai Road: from the northern boundary of Hastings City to a point 50 metres measured north-easterly, generally, along the said road from Williams Street.

Portsmouth Road.

Riverslea Road South: from the southern boundary of Hastings City to a point 20 metres measured north-easterly, generally, along the said road from Tollemache Road.

Bennett Road: from the No. 2 State Highway (Pokeno-Wellington via Gisborne) to a point 640 metres measured northerly, generally, along the said road from the said highway.

Ellwood Road: from the No. 2 State Highway (Pokeno-Wellington via Gisborne) to a point 480 metres measured northerly, generally, along the said road from the said highway.

Marackakaho Road: from the south-western boundary of Hastings City to a point 50 metres measured south-westerly, generally, along the said road from York Road.

Omahu Road: from a point 60 metres measured north-westerly, generally, along the said road from Ormond Road to the northern boundary of Hastings City.

Pakowhai Road: from a point 50 metres measured north-easterly, generally, along the said road from Williams Road to a point 420 metres measured north-easterly, generally, along the said road from Evendon Road.

Panapa Road.

Wilson Road: from the boundary of Hastings City near Manchester Street to a point 100 metres measured south-westerly, generally, along the said road from Manchester Street.

Vesting Reclaimed Land in the Rodney County Council

Pursuant to section 8 (1) of the Waitemata County Council Empowering Act 1971, I, Colin Campbell McLachlan, Minister of Transport, acting with the concurrence of the Minister of Lands, hereby vest in the Rodney County Council for an estate in fee simple for the purposes of a sewage treatment plant the land described in the Schedule hereto, which land was authorised for reclamation by the Waitemata County Council Empowering Act 1971.

SCHEDULE

All that piece of reclaimed Crown land being Lot 676 in Block VII, Waiwera Survey District, North Auckland Land District, containing 13.6000 hectares, as shown on Plan M.D. 15915 (S.O. 52461).
