Declaring Leasehold Estates in Land Taken for the Purposes of a Limited Access Road in Waipara County

PURSUANT to section 32 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Works and Development hereby declares that, sufficient agreements to that effect having been entered into the leasehold estate in the land firstly, secondly, and thirdly described in the Schedule hereto, held from Her Majesty the Queen by Alan Clarence Sloss, of Omihi, farmer, under and by virtue of renewable lease recorded in Volume 541, folio 208, Canterbury Land Registry, and the leasehold estate in the land fourthly described in the Schedule hereto, held from Her Majesty the Queen by Cyril McCaskey, of Waipara, farmer, under and by virtue of renewable lease recorded in Volume 541, folio 209, Canterbury Land Registry, and also the leasehold estate in the land fifthly described in the Schedule hereto, held from Her Majesty the Queen by Brian Cecil Harris, of Waipara, farmer, under and by virtue of renewable lease recorded in Volume 541, folio 281, Canterbury Land Registry, are hereby taken for the purposes of a limited access road from and after the 8th day of September 1977.

Land Proclaimed as Road and Road Closed and Incorporated in an Adjoining Crown Lease in Block I, Waipukurau Survey District, and Block XIII, Maraekakaho Survey District, Waipawa County.

PURSUANT to section 29 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1948, the Minister of Works and Development hereby proclaims as road the land described in the First Schedule hereto, which land shall vest in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Waipawa; and also hereby proclaims that the road described in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby closed and that the road secondly described in the said Second Schedule shall, when so closed, be incorporated in Crown Lease in Perpetuity No. 308, recorded in register book, Volume 64, folio 56, Hawke’s Bay Land Registry, held from Her Majesty the Queen by Barbara Jean Addis, of Waipawa, married woman; William Hugh Bennet, of Waipawa, public accountant; and David Forbes Cochrane, of Waipukurau, mercantile manager, subject to memoranda of mortgage No. 220303 and 263151, Hawke’s Bay Land Registry.
