Note: Any person who intends to appear on the hearing of the said petition must serve on or send by post their intention, to the above-named, in writing. This notice must state the name, address, and description of the person or, if a firm, the name, and address and description of the firm and an address for service within 3 miles of the office of the Supreme Court at Christchurch, and must be signed by the person or firm or his or their solicitor if any and must be served or, if posted, must be sent by post in sufficient time to reach the above-named petitioners address for service not later than 4 o'clock in the afternoon of Tuesday, the 13th day of September 1977.

SOUTH CANTERBURY CATCHMENT BOARD

Notice of Intention to Take Land in the City of Timaru for River Protection Purposes

Notice is hereby given that the South Canterbury Catchment Board proposes, under the provisions of the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act 1941, and the Public Works Act 1928, to take for river protection purposes the land described in the Schedule hereto, such land to be used as part of the diversion of the Washdyke Creek; and notice is further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited at the offices of the South Canterbury Catchment Board, Church Street, Timaru, and is there open for inspection; that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any objection to the taking of the said land, not being an objection to the amount or payment of compensation, make a written objection and send it within 40 days after the first publication of this notice to the Town and Country Planning Appeal Board at Wellington; and that. if any objection is made in accordance with this notice, a public hearing of the objection will be held, unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be advised of the time and place of the hearing.

SCHEDULE

  1. All that parcel of land containing 6900 square metres, being part of Lot 1 on Deposit Plan 3800, and part of the land comprised in certificate of title, Volume 316, folio 293, and being marked "B" on Survey Office Plan 14128.

  2. All that parcel of land containing 1200 square metres, being part of Rural Section 7457, and part of the land comprised in deed index, C. 7457. Canterbury Land Registry, and being marked "C" on Survey Office Plan 14128.

  3. All that parcel of land containing 300 square metres, being part of Rural Section 7457, and part of the land comprised in deed index, C. 7457, Canterbury Land Registry, and being marked "D" on Survey Office Plan 14128.

  4. All that parcel of land containing 7200 square metres, being part of Rural Section 7457, and part of the land comprised in deed index, C. 7457, Canterbury Land Registry, and being marked "E" on Survey Office Plan 14128.

CITY OF WAITEMATA

Notice of Intention to Take Land in the City of Waitemata for a Recreation Ground

Notice is hereby given that the Waitemata City Council, pursuant to the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, proposes to execute a certain public work, namely, the provision of a recreation ground in Don Buck Road near Woodside Road, Massey, and for this public work the land in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken; that all persons directly affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any objection to the taking of the said land, not being an objection to the amount or payment of compensation, make a written objection and send it within 40 days after the first publication of this notice to the Town and Country Planning Appeal Board at Wellington; and that if any objection is made in accordance with this notice a public hearing of the objection will be held, unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be advised of the time and place of the hearing.

SCHEDULE

North Auckland Land District

All that piece of land containing 7350 square metres, more or less, situated in the City of Waitemata, being part Lot 3, Deposited Plan 4070, and being part Allotment 5, Parish of Waiparira, and being the whole of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, No. 26D/1375 (North Auckland Registry.)

THE BUILDING SOCIETIES ACT 1965

Notice Under Section 34 (3)

Notice is hereby given that the United Building Society of Hawke's Bay (Permanent) whose registered office is at No. 1 Clive Square, Napier, desires to transfer its engagements to the Hawke's Bay Mutual Permanent Building Society, and that the society first named in this paragraph has applied to the Registrar of Building Societies to confirm the transfer notwithstanding that the consent in writing of the holders of two-thirds of the whole number of shares in the said society has not been obtained in manner required by the Building Societies Act 1965.

Notice is hereby further given that the Hawke's Bay Mutual Permanent Building Society, whose registered office is at No. 114 Queen Street East, Hastings, desires to accept a transfer of the engagements of the United Building Society of Hawke's Bay (Permanent) and that the society first named in this paragraph has applied to the Registrar of Building Societies to confirm the transfer notwithstanding that the consent in writing of the holders of two-thirds of the whole number of shares in the said society has not been obtained in manner required by the Building Societies Act 1965.

Each of the abovementioned applications will be heard on the 28th day of September 1977.

Any person wishing to be heard on either of the said applications should apply by letter to the Registrar of Building Societies, Government Life Insurance Buildings, P.O. Box 1062, Wellington, at least 7 days before the date of the hearing.
