Notice of Intention to Take Land in Green Island West Survey District for Road and for the Use, Convenience, or Enjoyment of a Road in Connection with the Realignment of State Highway No. 1, near Fairfield

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take for road and for the use, convenience or enjoyment of a road the land described in the Schedule hereto, such land to be used in connection with the realignment of State Highway No. 1, near Fairfield.

And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post office at Fairfield and is there open for inspection; that all persons directly affected by the taking of the said land, should, if they have any objection to the amount or payment of compensation, make a written objection and send it within 40 days after the first publication of this notice, to the Town and Country Planning Appeal Board at Wellington; and that if any objection is made in accordance with this notice, a public hearing of the objection will be held, unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be advised of the time and place of the hearing.

PURSUANT to section 29 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1948, the Minister of Works and Development hereby proclaims as closed the road described in the Schedule hereto, declares that the road firstly described in the said Schedule shall, when so closed, vest in Innes Hunter Thomson, of Mangapai, farmer, subject to memoranda of mortgage A406777, 332917.1, and also declares that the road secondly and thirdly described in the said Schedule shall, when so closed, vest in George Davison Horn, of Mangapai, farmer.
