Tariff Notice No. 1977/115—Applications for Exclusion from Determination

NOTICE is hereby given that applications have been made for exclusion of goods as follows from a current determination of the Minister of Customs and for admission of such goods at the rates of duty prescribed under the substantive Tariff item therefor:

NOTE: If these applications are approved, the above goods will be admitted at the rates of duty specified in Tariff item 39.02.198 or at the rates prescribed in Part II of the Tariff, Reference 10.2
*or such lower rate of duty as the Minister may in any case direct

Any person wishing to lodge an objection to the granting of these applications should do so in writing on or before 11 August 1977. Submissions should include a reference to the application number, Tariff item and description of goods concerned, be addressed to the Comptroller of Customs, Private Bag, Wellington, and supported by information as to:

(a) The range of equivalent goods manufactured locally;
(b) The proportion of New Zealand and imported materials used in manufacture;
(c) Present and potential output; and
(d) Details of factory cost in terms of materials, labour, overhead, etc.
