Appointment of Honorary Social Worker under the Department of Social Welfare Act 1971

IN the New Zealand Gazette No. 18, of 19 February 1976, page 369, line 5, for “Newton, Mrs Ruth Irene, Hastings”, read “Evans, Mrs Ruth Irene, Hastings”.


Defining the Middle Line of a Deviation of the North Island Main Trunk Railway Between Utiku and Mangaweka and Revoking in Part the Previous Proclamation

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section 216 of the Public Works Act 1928, I, Sir Edward Denis Blundell, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby revoke that part of the Proclamation dated the 15th day of June 1972, published in the Gazette, 22 June 1972, No. 51, p. 1279, No. 927443, Wellington Land Registry, commencing at the words “Lot 1, D.P. 7889 (C.T. 365/196)” and concluding after the words “Sections 1 and 2 (Crown Land)”, and hereby proclaim and declare that the amended middle line shall be that delineated on the plan specified in the Schedule hereto and the land affected shall be that set forth in the Schedule hereto and situated within varying distances on either side of the middle line as shown on the plan aforesaid.

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT—RANGITIKEI COUNTY

COMMENCING at the point marked 232.440 kilometres, in Bank Street, and proceeding generally in south-westerly and south-easterly directions for approximately 2.140 kilometres and passing in, into, through, or over the following lands, etc., viz:

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government Buildings at Wellington this 27th day of June 1977

Present:

THE RIGHT HON. B. E. TALBOYS PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Local Government Act 1974, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order:

ORDER

Commencement

  1. This order shall come into force on the 8th day of October 1977 except that insofar as it is necessary to provide for the elections of councillors and in accordance with clause 7 of this order, the constitution of ridings, this order shall be deemed to have come into force on the date of its making.

Constitution

  1. The districts of the County of Taieri and the County of Waikouaiti shall be united to form the County of Silverpeaks (referred to in this order as “the county”).

  2. The council of the county shall be a county council under the name of the Silverpeaks County Council (referred to in this order as “the council”).

  3. The Taieri County Council and the Waikouaiti County Council shall be dissolved.

  4. Except as otherwise provided for in this order, the provisions of the Counties Act 1956 shall apply.
