Replacement of Member and Chairman of the Commission of Inquiry into the Distribution of Motor Vehicle Parts

ORDER IN COUNCIL

To all to whom these presents shall come, and to;
KEITH ROBERT CONGREVE, of Auckland, retired President of the Price Tribunal;
ALEXANDER CAMPBELL BEGG, of Christchurch, retired farmer;
JOHN ALEXANDER CONNOLLY, of Upper Hutt, chartered accountant; and
MICHAEL JAMES MORIARTY, of Wellington, company director:

GREETING:

WHEREAS, by an Order in Council made on the 26th day of April 1977*, you, the said Keith Robert Congreve, Alexander Campbell Begg, and John Alexander Connolly, were appointed to be a Commission to inquire into and report upon and make recommendations upon the source of supply, distribution, and pricing of motor vehicle parts distributed in New Zealand:

And whereas, you, the said Keith Robert Congreve, a member and the Chairman of the said Commission, have tendered your resignation on the grounds of ill health, and it is proposed to appoint you, the said Michael James Moriarty, to be in the stead of the said Keith Robert Congreve both a member of the said Commission and its Chairman:

Now, therefore, pursuant to the Commissions of Inquiry Act 1908, I, Sir Edward Denis Blundell, the Governor-General of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, relieve you, the said Keith Robert Congreve, of your duties both as a member, and as the Chairman, of the said Commission, and hereby appoint you, the said Michael James Moriarty, to be both a member, and the Chairman, of the said Commission in the stead of the said Keith Robert Congreve:

And it is hereby declared that all acts and things done and decisions made by the said Commission or any of its members, in the exercise of its powers, before the issuing of these presents, shall be deemed to have been done by the said Commission as reconstituted by these presents, and as if you, the said Michael James Moriarty, had originally been appointed to be both a member, and the Chairman, of the said Commission in the place and stead of the said Keith Robert Congreve:

And I hereby confirm the said Order in Council made on the 26th day of April 1977, save as modified by these presents:

Given in Executive Council under the hand of his Excellency the Governor-General this 7th day of June 1977.
