The Traffic (Kaiapoi Borough, Eyre County and Rangiora County) Notice No. 1, 1977

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Kaiapoi Borough, Eyre County and Rangiora County) Notice No. 1, 1977.

  2. The roads specified in the First Schedule hereto are hereby excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

  3. The roads specified in the Second Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be closely populated localities for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

  4. The Traffic (Eyre County) Notice No. 1, 1971, dated the 27th day of October 1971*, under section 52 of the Transport Act 1962 and regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956, which relates to roads situated within Eyre County, is hereby revoked.

FIRST SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Kaiapoi Borough:

Beach Road: from a point 50 metres measured easterly generally along the said road from Meadow Street to the eastern boundary of Kaiapoi Borough at Feldwicks Drain.

Smith Street: from a point 160 metres measured westerly generally along the said street from Charles Street to the western boundary of Kaiapoi Borough.

SECOND SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Eyre County adjacent to Kaiapoi Borough:

Adderly Terrace: from the western boundary of Kaiapoi Borough to a point 50 metres measured westerly generally along the said terrace from Sneyd Street.

Aldersgate Street.

Audley Street: from Sneyd Street to Island Road.

Chapman Place.

Coups Road: from Ohoka Road to a point 200 metres measured southerly generally along Coups Road from Ohoka Road.

Cressy Avenue.

Epworth Street.

Eyre Place.

Kynnersley Street.

Main North Road: from Vickery Street to a point 100 metres measured southerly generally along the Main North Road from Vickery Street.

Murray Place.

Ohoka Road: from the western boundary of Kaiapoi Borough to Island Road.

Sneyd Street.

Vickery Street.

Wesley Street.

Whitefield Street.

SITUATED within the Rangiora County adjacent to Kaiapoi Borough:

Beach Road: from a point 100 metres measured easterly generally along the said road from Cookson Street to a point 50 metres measured easterly generally along Beach Road from Meadow Street.

Cam Road.

Main North Road: from the northern boundary of Kaiapoi Borough to a point 200 metres measured northerly generally along the said road from Dale Street.

The Traffic (Bay of Islands County) Notice No. 1, 1977

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962 the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Bay of Islands County) Notice No. 1, 1977.

  2. The roads specified in the First Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be closely populated localities for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

  3. The road specified in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a closely populated locality for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, to the intent that a person driving any motor vehicle thereon at any time during the period commencing with the 1st day of December in each year and ending with the Tuesday following Easter each year shall be subject to the maximum speed limit of 50 kilometres-an-hour fixed by the said section.

  4. The road specified in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a 70-kilometres-an-hour speed limit area for the purposes of regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976*, except during that period when clause 3 of this notice applies.

  5. The Traffic (Bay of Islands County) Notice No. 1, 1976, dated the 18th day of October 1976†, under section 52 of the Transport Act 1962 and regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956, which relates to roads situated within the Bay of Islands County at Haruru Falls, is hereby revoked.

SITUATED within Bay of Islands County at Haruru Falls:

Causeway Road.

Falls View Road.

Goffe Drive.

Haruru Falls Road: from Blackbridge–Paihia Road to a point 320 metres measured northerly generally along the said road from Blackbridge–Paihia Road.

Old Wharf Road.

Wilson Road.

Yorke Road.

SECOND SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Bay of Islands County at Haruru Falls:

Blackbridge–Paihia Road: from Haruru Falls Road to Yorke Road.

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Waitemata City–Waitakere, Titirangi Wards) Notice No. 1, 1977.

  2. All roads in the Waitakere and Titirangi wards in Waitemata City, other than those specified in the First Schedule hereto, are hereby excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

  3. The roads, specified in the Second Schedule hereto, are hereby declared to be 70-kilometres-an-hour speed limit areas for the purposes of regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976*.

  4. The Traffic (Waitemata City–Waitakere, Titirangi Wards) Notice 1976, dated the 10th day of December 1976, under section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, and regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956, which relates to roads situated within Waitemata City, is hereby revoked.

SITUATED WITHIN WAITEMATA CITY ADJACENT to Henderson Borough:

Chrome Place.

Eyre Street.

Fitzwater Place.

Forest Hill Road: from Henderson Valley Road to a point 320 metres measured south-westerly generally along Forest Hill Road from Pine Avenue.

Henderson Valley Road: from the south-western boundary of Henderson Borough to a point 640 metres measured north-westerly generally along the said road from Pine Avenue.

Parrs Cross Road: from Henderson Valley Road to a point 240 metres measured north-westerly generally along Parrs Cross Road from Holders Road.
