KAPITI BOROUGH COUNCIL
NOTICE OF SPECIAL ORDER TO FIX THE NUMBER OF COUNCILLORS ON THE KAPITI BOROUGH COUNCIL AND THE REPRESENTATION OF THE WARDS
PURSUANT to the provisions of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, and all other powers and authorities in that behalf enabling, the Kapiti Borough Council does hereby resolve by way of special order:

That the number of councillors elected to the Kapiti Borough Council, exclusive of the Mayor, should be increased to nine (9).

That the representation of the wards within the Kapiti Borough Council shall be as follows:
Paekakariki Ward two (2) members.
Paraparaumu Ward six (6) members.
Whareroa Ward one (1) member.
Total nine (9) members.
- That this special order shall not come into force until the triennial election to be held 8 October 1977, but that for the purpose for preparing such election the returning officer of the Borough of Kapiti is authorised to operate under the provisions of this special order.
The above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Kapiti Borough Council held on the 22nd day of February 1977, and was confirmed as a Special Order on 26th April 1977.
