For each additional 25 km or fraction thereof add $1.19 per tonne.

(c) The minimum loads per wagon will be deemed to be complied with in cases where the total weight forwarded by any one consignor for one complete shipment is not less than the total capacity of all the wagons used, based on the prescribed minimum of each wagon. In cases where the department for its convenience supplies wagons having a total minimum capacity greater than the classes of wagons ordered by the consignor for any one shipment, the charges will be based on the appropriate minimum loads of the classes of wagons ordered.

  1. Meat, not otherwise specified, conveyed in insulated wagons or containers will be charged as “export meat” at the rates prescribed in subparagraph 1 (b) hereof subject to the minimum wagon loadings specified.

  2. The rates and minimum specified herein for containers will be doubled for containers exceeding 6.1 metres (20 feet) in length.

  3. For local haulage charges, etc., for goods conveyed in insulated wagons or containers see section 96.

  4. Handling—The department may require all loading and unloading to be performed by owners.
