Notice of Intention to Vary Hours of Sale of Liquor at Licensed Premises—West Coast Licensing Committee

PURSUANT to section 221A (16) of the Sale of Liquor Act 1962, as amended by the Sale of Liquor Amendment Act 1976, I, Gordon Stewart Orr, Secretary for Justice, hereby give notice that the West Coast Licensing Committee on 21 April 1977 made an order authorising variations of the usual hours for the sale of liquor to the public, and further authorised the following hours of trading for the licensed premises known as Franz Josef Hotel, Franz Josef:

(a) On every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday (not being days when licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general public, and not being Christmas Eve or New Year’s Eve) the hour of opening to be 11 o’clock in the morning and the hour of closing 10 o’clock in the evening.

(b) On every Christmas Eve (not being a day when licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general public) the hour of opening shall be 11 o’clock in the morning and the hour of closing 11 o’clock in the evening.

(c) On every New Year’s Eve/New Year’s Day (not being a day when licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general public) the hour of opening shall be 11 o’clock in the morning of New Year’s Eve and the hour of closing 0.30 o’clock in the morning of New Year’s Day.

PURSUANT to subsection (3) of section 23 of the Standards Act 1965, notice is hereby given that the draft New Zealand standard specifications listed in the Schedule hereto are being circulated. All persons who may be affected by these specifications, and who desire to comment thereon may obtain copies at the prices shown in the second column of the said Schedule, from the Standards Association of New Zealand, World Trade Center, 15-23 Sturdee Street (or Private Bag), Wellington.

The closing dates for the receipt of comment are shown in the third column of the said Schedule.

PURSUANT to section 23 of the Standards Act 1965, the Standards Council, on 22 April 1977, amended the undermentioned standard specification by the incorporation of the amendment shown hereunder.

Plants Declared Noxious Weeds under the Noxious Weeds Act 1950 in the Borough of Putaruru (No. 1691 Ag. 12/10/411)

PURSUANT to a delegation from the Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries under the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries Act 1953, for the purposes of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the following Special Order, made by the Putaruru Borough Council on the 21st day of March 1977 is hereby published.

SPECIAL ORDER

In exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 3 of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the Putaruru Borough Council hereby declares that all the plants mentioned in the Schedule below (being plants included in the First Schedule of the said act) are noxious weeds within the Borough of Putaruru:

Barley grass (Hordeum murinum).

Bathurst bur (Xanthium spinosum).

Bindweed (Convolvulus arvensis).

Blackberry (Rubus fruticosus and Rubus laciniatus).

Common broom (Cytisus scoparius).

Amending the Licence Authorising Walter Allan Stronach and Donald Thomas Ross Heads to Occupy a Site for a Slipway and Cradle at Waikawa

PURSUANT to section 162 of the Harbours Act 1950, I, Owen John Conway, of the Ministry of Transport, in exercise of powers delegated by the Minister of Transport hereby amend the licence of 26 August 1976*, authorising Walter Allan Stronach and Donald Thomas Ross Heads to use and occupy a part of the foreshore and bed of the sea at Waikawa, Southland, as shown on plan marked M.D. 12175, for the purpose of maintaining thereon a slipway and cradle, as shown on the said plan, by deleting the expression “one hundred and fifty dollars” and substituting the expression “ten dollars”.
