Notice of Intention to Take Land at Solway for the Purposes of the Wairarapa Railway
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to execute a certain public work, namely, to take the portion of land, described in the Schedule hereto, for the purposes of the Wairarapa Railway. The land is balance of the land in Deeds Index 9/389, Wellington Registry, the registered proprietor of which is William Thomas Ward, of Wellington, baker.
Notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land to be taken is deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways, at Wellington, and is there open for inspection, and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work, should, if they have any objection to the taking of the said land, set forth the same in writing and send the written objection within 40 days of the first publication of the notice to the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and that, if any objection is made in accordance with this notice, a public hearing will be held, unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be advised of the time and place of hearing.

Amending Notice Declaring Land Taken for Railway Purposes at Solway
PURSUANT to section 45 of the Government Railways Act 1949 and to section 32 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Railways hereby declares that, a sufficient agreement to that effect having been entered into, the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for railway purposes from and after the 2nd day of August 1976, and the declaration dated 22nd day of July 1976 and published in New Zealand Gazette, No. 83, 29 July 1976, page 1740, is hereby revoked.
