The Right Honourable Sir Keith Holyoake, G.C.M.G., C.H., M.P., holding a Seat in the Executive Council and the Office of Minister of State
Dated at Lyttelton this 7th day of March 1977.

Governor-General Designate Appointed

It is announced from HMY Britannia at Lyttelton that The Queen, on the recommendation of Her Majesty's Ministers in New Zealand, has been graciously pleased to approve the appointment of
The Right Honourable Sir Keith Holyoake, G.C.M.G., C.H., M.P.,
as Governor-General for a term of three years in succession to Sir Denis Blundell, G.C.M.G., G.C.V.O., K.B.E., who will retire on 27 September 1977.
This 7th day of March 1977.
