NELSON CITY COUNCIL

In the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, and in the matter of the Public Works Act 1928:

NOTICE is hereby given that the Nelson City Council proposes under the above-mentioned Acts to execute a certain public work, namely, to provide a street and for the purposes of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken for street; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk to the said council, situate in Trafalgar Street, Nelson, and is open for inspection, without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours. Every person directly affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said lands and who has an objection thereto, not being an objection as to the amount or payment of compensation, must state their objections in writing and send the same within 40 days from the first publication of this notice to the Secretary, Town and Country Planning Appeal Board, Private Bag, Postal Centre, Wellington. If any such objections are made as aforesaid a public hearing of the objections will be held, unless the objectors otherwise require, and each objector will be advised of the time and place of the hearing.

All the said parcels of land being situate in the Maitai Valley between Nile Street East and the eastern boundary of the city along the right bank of the Maitai River.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR A PUBLIC WORK

Notice is hereby given that the Marlborough County Council proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to execute a certain public work, namely, the taking of a portion of land at Renwick, included in the deeds index for the purpose of such public work, the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken.

A notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited at the public office of the Marlborough County Council, situate in Henry Street, Blenheim, and is there open for inspection to all persons during ordinary office hours. All persons affected by the taking of the said land, should, if they have any objection to the taking of the said land (not being an objection to the amount or payment of compensation) set forth the same in writing and send such notice within 40 days of the first publication of this notice to the Town and Country Appeal Board, and that if any objections are made, in accordance with this notice, a public hearing of the objections shall be held, unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be advised of the time and place of the hearing.

LOWER HUTT CITY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF SPECIAL ORDER INCREASING REPRESENTATION

PURSUANT to the powers conferred on it by section 53 (2) of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, the Lower Hutt City Council resolved by way of special order as follows:

That the total number of members of the council shall be increased from fifteen (15), exclusive of the Mayor, to sixteen (16), exclusive of the Mayor, as from the completion of the three-year term of office of the councillors elected at the triennial election held in 1974, and the number of councillors, to be elected on the 8th day of October 1977, shall be elected in accordance with the provision of this special order.

The above resolution was passed at a meeting of council held on the 13th day of December 1976 and confirmed as a special order on the 25th day of January 1977.

CHRISTCHURCH DRAINAGE BOARD

SPECIAL AREA

Alteration of Boundary

IN the matter of the Christchurch District Drainage Act 1951, and in the matter of the special area known as the sewer extension loan special area, as defined by resolution of the board, dated the 17th day of April 1923, and published in the New Zealand Gazette, No. 37, dated the 26th day of April 1923, and as from time to time altered, under the provisions of section 5, Christchurch District Drainage Amendment Act 1922, and section 60, Christchurch District Drainage Act 1951, by resolutions of the Christchurch Drainage Board and published in the New Zealand Gazette.

PURSUANT to the powers vested in it by the Christchurch District Drainage Act 1951, the Christchurch Drainage Board at a meeting held on the 15th day of February 1977, resolved that the boundary of the said special area, hereinbefore described and defined, be further altered so as to include in the said special area all those areas briefly described in the Schedules hereto, and further resolved that the said areas shall form part of and be included in the subdivision “B” of the said special area and that the boundaries of said subdivision “B” be altered accordingly so as to include all those areas.
