ALBURY RIDING OF MACKENZIE COUNTY
ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, Mackenzie
County, bounded by a line commencing in the middle of the
Tengawai River in line with the north-eastern side of
Mackenzie Country Road (No. 8 State Highway) in Block
XV, Tengawai Survey District, being a point on the eastern
boundary of the County of Mackenzie hereinbefore described
and proceeding southerly and westerly generally along the
eastern and southern boundaries of that county to a point
due east of the north-western corner of Lot 1, D.P. 22750, in
Block XIII, Opawa Survey District; thence north-westerly
generally along the summit of the Hunters Hills to the summit
of the southern watershed of Lockharts Stream; thence south-
westerly along that summit to Lockharts Saddle in Block IV,
Mackenzie Survey District; thence northerly generally down
the middle of Lockharts Stream and Haytor Stream and
northerly up the middle of Duck Stream to the middle of the
road forming the eastern boundaries of Rural Sections 32452,
32071, and 36462; thence northerly generally along the middle
of that road to a point in line with the middle of the road
passing through Rural Section 36465 and forming the northern
and eastern boundaries of Run 291; thence easterly and
southerly generally to and along the middle of that road and
its production to the middle of the Tengawai River in Block
XIII, Tengawai Survey District; thence north-easterly and
south-easterly generally down the middle of that river to the

267 600 hectares (661,255 acres), more or less, bounded by
a line commencing on the mean high-water mark of the
sea in the middle of the Rangitata River in Block IV, Kapunatiki Survey District, and proceeding north-
westerly generally up the middle of that river and the
Havelock River to the middle of the Forbes River in Block
XI, Torlesse Survey District; thence westerly generally up
the middle of that river to and along the northern boundary
of Rural Section 40458 to the summit of the Two Thumb
Range; thence southerly generally along the summit of that
range to the source of Forest Creek; thence south-easterly and
north-easterly down the middle of that creek to a point
in line with the south-western boundary of Run 241; thence
south-easterly generally to and along that boundary to the
middle of the Phantom River; thence north-easterly generally
along the north-western and southern boundaries of Run 2
to its north-eastern corner; thence southerly and westerly
generally along the middle of that river to the middle of Andrews
Stream; thence westerly generally up the middle of that
stream to a point in line with the western boundary of Rural
Section 34447 in Block VII, Four Peaks Survey District;
thence southerly to and along that boundary to the northern
boundary of Rural Section 40157; thence westerly and south-
erly generally along the northern and western boundaries
of that rural section, the abutment of a road (at the northern
end of a pack track reserve) and again along the western
boundary of the said Section 24, Tripp Settlement; thence
westerly along that boundary and north-westerly along the
north-eastern boundary of Section 26, Tripp Settlement, to
the middle of the Mowbray River; thence north-westerly
generally down the middle of that river to a point in line
with the north-western boundary of the said Section 26;

western boundary of that section to the northernmost corner
of Section 7A, Four Peaks Settlement; thence south-westerly
and south-western boundaries of the said Section 7A to a point
in line with the south-eastern boundary of Rural Section

and its production to the middle of the Opuha River; thence
south-easterly down the middle of that river to its con-
fluence with the Opihi River; thence north-westerly generally
up the middle of that river to a point in line with the north-
western boundary of Rural Section 27460 in Block XII Tenga-
wai Survey District; thence south-westerly generally to and
along that boundary to its westernmost corner; thence
south-easterly and south-westerly along the north-eastern and
south-eastern boundaries of Rural Section 20518 and the
production of the last-mentioned boundary to the original
north-eastern side of Mackenzie Country Road (No. 8 State
Highway); thence south-easterly along that roadside and its
production to the middle of the Tengawai River; thence
south-easterly down the middle of that river to a point in
line with the north-western boundary of Rural Section 5209
in Block V, Pareora Survey District; thence south-westerly
to and along that boundary and its production to the south-
western side of Mackenzie Country Road aforesaid; thence
north-westerly along that roadside to the north-eastern side
of Cannington Road, thence south-easterly generally along
that roadside and the original north-eastern side of Pareora
Gorge Road and its production to the middle of the Pareora
River; thence south-easterly generally down the middle of
that river to the mean high-water mark of the sea; thence
north-easterly generally along that high water mark to the
southern boundary of Reserve 1856 in Block II, Patiti Survey
District being a point on the south-western boundary of the
City of Timaru as described in New Zealand Gazette, 1972,
page 502; thence north-westerly, north-easterly, and south-
easterly generally along the south-western, north-western, and
north-eastern boundaries of that city to the mean high-water
mark to the point of commencement, excluding therefrom
the Borough of Temuka as described in New Zealand Gazette,
1967, page 596, and the Borough of Geraldine as described
in New Zealand Gazette, 1968, page 1980.

ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, Strathallan
County, bounded by a line commencing on the mean high-
water mark of the sea in the middle of the Orari River in Block IV, Arowhenua Survey District, being
a point on the south-eastern boundary of the Strathallan
County hereinbefore described and proceeding north-westerly
generally up the middle of that river to the north-western
boundary of the Strathallan County aforesaid; thence north-
westerly generally, south-easterly generally, and south-westerly
along the western, north-eastern and south-eastern boundaries
of that county to the point of commencement.

TEMUKA RIDING OF STRATHALLAN COUNTY
ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, Strathallan
County, bounded by a line commencing on the mean high-
water mark of the sea, in the middle of the Opihi River in Block VII, Arowhenua Survey District, being
a point on the south-eastern boundary of the Strathallan
County hereinbefore described and proceeding north-westerly
generally up the middle of that river to the middle of a public
road forming the north-western boundary of Rural Section
34737 in Block III, Pareora Survey District; thence northerly
along the middle of that road, River Road, Gully Bush Road,
and Galbraith Road to the middle of South Boundary Road;
thence easterly generally along the middle of that road, the
original Goodwin Road, Winchester Hanging Rock Road,
No. 72 State Highway (Woodend-Winchester) and College
Road and its production to the middle of the South Island
Main Trunk Railway; thence north-easterly along the middle
of that railway to the middle of the Orari River being a
point on the western boundary of the Mount Peel-Rangitata
Riding hereinbefore described; thence south-easterly along that
boundary to the south-eastern boundary of the Strathallan
County aforesaid; thence south-westerly along that boundary
to the point of commencement, excluding therefrom the
Borough of Temuka as described in New Zealand Gazette,
1967, page 596.

GERALDINE RIDING OF STRATHALLAN COUNTY
ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, Strathallan
County, bounded by a line commencing at the intersection
of the middle of the Opihi River and the middle of the
public road forming the north-western boundary of Rural
Section 34737 in Block III, Pareora Survey District, being a
point on the western boundary of the Temuka Riding herein-
before described and proceeding north-westerly up the middle
of that river to the western boundary of the Strathallan
County hereinbefore described; thence north-easterly generally
along that boundary to the western boundary of the Mount
Peel-Rangitata Riding hereinbefore described; thence south-
erly along that boundary to the northern boundary of the
Temuka Riding hereinbefore described; thence south-westerly
generally along that boundary to the point of commence-
ment, excluding therefrom the Borough of Geraldine as des-
cribed in New Zealand Gazette, 1968, page 1980.
