Land Taken Subject to a Right to Convey Electric Power, for Sewerage Works, in the City of Christchurch

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Sir Edward Denis Blundell, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken, subject to the right to convey electric power created by transfer 498877, for sewerage works and shall vest in the Christchurch Drainage Board as from the date hereinafter mentioned; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 10th day of February 1977.

CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT

ALL that piece of land containing 1.2773 hectares, situated in the City of Christchurch, being Lot 2, D.P. 34269. All certificate of title, 14A/1291, Canterbury Land Registry.

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to subsection (6) of section 5 of the Education Lands Act 1949, I, Sir Edward Denis Blundell, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto, being an area vested in the South Auckland Education Board as a site for a school, shall be vested in Her Majesty the Queen, freed and discharged from every education trust affecting the same, but subject to all leases, encumbrances, liens, or easements affecting the same at the date hereof.

PURSUANT to section 171 of the Coal Mines Act 1925, I, Sir Edward Denis Blundell, the Governor-General of New Zealand do hereby exempt the land described in the Schedule hereto from the operation of Part III of the said Act.

Area: 1011 square metres, more or less. Section 2, Block XLIII, Runanga Village Settlement, situated in Block III, Cobden Survey District. Part New Zealand Gazette, 1922, p. 2905 (S.O. 830).

Area: 1011 square metres, more or less. Section 3, Block XLIII, Runanga Village Settlement, situated in Block III, Cobden Survey District. Part New Zealand Gazette, 1939, p. 2590 (S.O. 830).

Reserving nevertheless unto the Crown firstly, in terms of section 168A of the Coal Mines Act 1925, all coal existing in its natural condition on or under the surface of the said land, and secondly in terms of section 8 of the Mining Act 1971, every mineral existing in its natural condition on or under the surface of the said land.
