Notice of Intention to Vary Hours of Sale of Liquor at Licensed Premises—Marlborough Licensing Committee
PURSUANT to section 221A (16) of the Sale of Liquor Act 1962, as substituted by section 22 of the Sale of Liquor Amendment Act 1976, I, Gordon Stewart Orr, Secretary for Justice, on 17 November 1977, made an order authorising variations of the usual hours for the sale of liquor to the public, and further authorised the following hours of trading for the licensed premises known as the Crow Tavern, Picton:
(a) On every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday (not being days when licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general public, and not being Christmas Eve or New Year's Eve), the hour of opening shall be 11 o'clock in the morning and the hour of closing shall be 10 o'clock in the evening.
(b) On every Friday, Saturday, and Christmas Eve (not being days when licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general public), commencing 9 December 1977, and terminating on 1 April 1978, the hour of opening shall be 11 o'clock in the morning and the hour of closing shall be 11 o'clock in the evening.
(c) On New Year's Eve (not being a day when licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general public), the hour of opening shall be 11 o'clock in the morning and the hour of closing shall be 0.30 o'clock in the morning of New Year's Day.

The Standards Act 1965—Draft Amendments to New Zealand Standard Specifications Available for Comment
PURSUANT to subsection (3) of section 23 of the Standards Act 1965, notice is hereby given that the following draft amendments are being circulated:

DZ 5401/A1 Draft amendments No. 1 to NZS 5401 : 1976 Seat belt assemblies for motor vehicles.
DZ 5411/A1 Draft amendment No. 1 to NZS 5411 : 1973 Child-restraining devices in motor vehicles.
All persons who may be affected by these amendments and who desire to comment thereon, may obtain a copy of each from the Standards Association of New Zealand, World Trade Center, 15-23 Sturdee Street (or Private Bag), Wellington.
The closing date for the receipt of comment is 17 February 1978.

Notice Under the Auckland Harbour Board (Reclamation) Empowering Act 1967
NOTICE is hereby given, pursuant to section 9 (2) of the Auckland Harbour Board (Reclamation) Empowering Act 1967, that the area described in the Schedule hereto, being tidal lands reclaimed under authority of the above Act, is included within the district of Takapuna City.
SCHEDULE
All that piece of land containing 19.650 hectares, being part of the bed of Waitemata Harbour, in Shoal Bay (Block IV, Rangitoto Survey District, and Block XII, Waitemata Survey District), shown marked “A”, on Survey Office Plan 52343, and comprised in certificate of title 24D/851, North Auckland Land Registry.

Commerce Act 1975—Public Notice
By letter dated 15 December 1976, the Minister of Trade and Industry required the Commerce Commission, pursuant to section 68 (4) of the Commerce Act 1975, to hold an inquiry into the desirability of amending the Third Schedule or Schedule 3A of the Act, or of revoking any such Schedule and instituting a new Schedule.
This inquiry has been concluded and the Commission reported its findings and recommendations to the Minister on 24 November 1977.
By letter dated 17 March 1977, the Minister of Trade and Industry required the Commerce Commission, pursuant to section 104 of the Commerce Act 1975, to conduct a public inquiry into certain matters arising from exchange losses or gains on the repayment of overseas loans by New Zealand persons or corporations.
This inquiry has been concluded and the Commission reported its findings and recommendations to the Minister on 24 November 1977.

Land Surveyors’ Examination, February–March 1978, New Zealand
It is hereby notified for general information that the New Zealand Survey Board will conduct an examination in New Zealand Acts and regulations relating to surveys, for the registration of surveyors commencing at 9 a.m. on Friday, 3 February 1978.
Candidates are notified that their applications, on the proper form, must reach the Secretary of the Board not later than Friday, 6 January 1978, and that the examination fee must be paid at the same time to the Secretary, from whom application forms and other particulars may be obtained.
