Electrical Industry Training Board—Amendment to List of Board Members

PURSUANT to section 15A of the Vocational Training Council Act 1968, the Minister of Education hereby declares that the Electrical Industry Training Board Notice 1975* is amended by adding the following paragraphs to subclause (1) of clause 2 of the said notice:

(i) One member appointed by the New Zealand Electrical Manufacturers Federation.
(j) One member appointed by the Electronic and Appliance Servicing Federation of New Zealand (Inc.).
(k) One member appointed by the General Manager of the New Zealand Electricity Department.
(l) One member appointed by the General Manager of the New Zealand Government Railways Department.

Notice Respecting Proposed Alteration of Boundaries of Tauranga County and Mount Maunganui Borough

It is hereby notified that a petition has been presented to His Excellency the Governor-General, pursuant to section 12 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, praying that the area described in the Schedule hereto be excluded from the area of Tauranga County and be included in the area of Mount Maunganui Borough.

All persons affected, who object to the proposed alteration of boundaries are hereby called upon to lodge any objections to, or petitions against the proposed alteration with the Minister of Local Government, Parliament Buildings, Wellington, within 1 month from the date of publication of this notice.

SCHEDULE

ALL that area in the South Auckland Land District, Tauranga County, containing 862 hectares, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at a point on the shore of Tauranga Harbour, being the intersection of the said shore with the production south-easterly of the north-eastern boundary of Part Ohuke 2B Block, situated in Block XI, Tauranga Survey District and proceeding north-westerly along the said production to the north-western side of the East Coast Main Trunk Railway; thence north-easterly along that side, the south-eastern boundary of the land on D.P. 25202 and that boundary produced to the north-eastern side of the Mount Maunganui Branch Railway; thence south-easterly along that side to a point in line with the north-western boundary of Papamoa 2, Section 10A1 Block; thence north-easterly along a right line across State Highway 2, to and along the said boundary, the north-western boundaries of Papamoa 2, Sections 10A2C1 and 2 Blocks and a right line across Papamoa Beach Road to and along the north-western boundary of Papamoa 2, Section 10A2C4 Block, to the shore of the Bay of Plenty; thence south-easterly along that shore to a point in line with the western boundary of Part Section 14, Block I, Te Tumu Survey District; thence southerly along a right line crossing Part Papamoa 1 Block and Papamoa Beach Road, to and along the said boundary to the northern boundary of Part Lot 1, D.P. 34461; thence westerly along that boundary to the north-eastern side of State Highway 2; thence north-westerly along that side to a point in line with the north-western boundary of Part Maungatawa 8 Block; thence south-westerly along a right line crossing the said State Highway 2 and the East Coast Main Trunk Railway, to and along that boundary and the north-western boundaries of Maungatawa 7A and 6 Blocks to the shore of Tauranga Harbour; thence generally north-westerly along that shore to the point of commencement.

Declaring Land Taken for the Purposes of the North Auckland Railway at Henderson and assenting to and granting an Easement over part of that Land

PURSUANT to section 45 of the Government Railways Act 1949 and section 32 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Railways hereby declares that, a sufficient agreement to that effect having been entered into, the land described in the First Schedule hereto is hereby taken, subject to water and sewage drainage easements created by transfer No. 321488.2, together with the drainage easement created by transfer No. 667531, and pursuant to section 97 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Railways hereby assents to a right of way being granted, and such right of way as defined in section 90D of the Land Transfer Act 1952 is hereby granted over the land secondly described in the First Schedule hereto, appurtenant to the land described in the Second Schedule hereto, for the purposes of the North Auckland Railway on and after the 5th day of December 1977.
