The Standards Act 1965—Standard Specifications Proposed for Revocation

NOTICE is hereby given that the under-mentioned New Zealand standard specifications have been recommended for revocation pursuant to the provisions of the Standards Act 1965.

Any person who may be affected by the proposal to revoke these standard specifications, and who wishes to object to their revocation, is invited to submit comments to the Standards Association of New Zealand, Private Bag, Wellington, not later than 9 December 1977.

NZS 251:1959 (BS 768:1958) Slotted grub screws.
NZS 1079:1967 (BS 1735:1966) Flanged cast iron outside-screw-and-yoke wedge gate valves.
NZS 1113:1952 (BS 1802:1951) Steel spring washers for general engineering and automobile purposes.
NZS 1193:1963 Toluenes.
NZS 1224:1966 (BS 2060:1964) Copper alloy screw-down stop valves for general purposes.
NZS 1238:1954 (BS 2061:1953) Phosphor bronze spring washers for general engineering purposes.
NZS 1309:— (BS 2693:—) Screwed studs—
Part 1: 1957 (BS 2693: Pt. 1: 1956) General purpose studs.

NZS 1771:1964 (BS 3525:1962) Dimensions of dry type unflanged and flanged interference fit cylinder liners (for i.c. engines with cast iron cylinder blocks).

The Standards Act 1965—Draft Amendment to New Zealand Standard Specification Available for Comment

PURSUANT to subsection (3) of section 23 of the Standards Act 1965, notice is hereby given that the following draft amendment is being circulated:

DZ 2139/A2 Draft amendment to NZS 2139:1967 Heat actuated fire detectors.

All persons who may be affected by this amendment and who desire to comment thereon may obtain copies from the Standards Association of New Zealand, World Trade Centre, 15–23 Sturdee Street (or Private Bag), Wellington.

The closing date for the receipt of comment is 23 December 1977.

Application for Plant Selectors’ Rights (Notice No. 1830; Ag. PV 3/5 PV 3/6)

PURSUANT to section 11 of the Plant Varieties Act 1973, notice is hereby given that applications for grants of protective directions and applications for grants of plant selectors’ rights as specified in the Schedule hereto, have been received by the Register of Plant Varieties. If any interested person considers he is likely to be unfairly affected by any application for a grant of plant selectors’ rights, he may lodge an objection with the Registrar within 2 months from the date of this Gazette. Objections must comply with section 19 of the Plant Varieties Act 1973.
