The Traffic (Waitemata City-Lincoln, Te Atatu Wards) Notice
No. 2, 1977
PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport
hereby gives the following notice:
NOTICE
-
This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Waitemata City-
Lincoln/Te Atatu Wards) Notice No. 2, 1977. -
The roads specified in the First Schedule hereto are
hereby declared to be closely populated localities for
the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962. -
The roads specified in the Second Schedule hereto are
hereby declared to be 70-kilometres-an-hour speed limit areas
for the purposes of regulation 21 of the Traffic Regulation
1976*. -
The Traffic (Waitemata City-Lincoln/Te Atatu Wards)
Notice, dated the 10th day of December 1976†, under section
52 of the Transport Act 1962 and regulation 27 of the Traffic
Regulations 1956, which relates to roads situated within
the Lincoln and Te Atatu Wards of Waitemata City, is hereby
revoked.
FIRST SCHEDULE
SITUATED within Waitemata City:
At Hobsonville:
Brighams Creek Road: from Williams Road to the crash
gates at the north-eastern end of Brighams Creek Road.
Hobsonville Road: from the No. 15 State Highway
(Auckland-Wellsford) to Brighams Creek Road and
from Wisely Road to a point 320 metres measured
north-easterly generally along Hobsonville Road from
Brighams Creek Road.
Luckens Road: from Hobsonville Road to a point 480
metres measured south-easterly generally along Luckens
Road from Hobsonville Road.
Trig Road: from Hobsonville Road to a point 160 metres
measured north-westerly generally along Trig Road
from Hobsonville Road.
At Herald Island:
All roads on Herald Island. The causeway leading to
Herald Island.
Kingsway Road: from Kauri Road to the western end
of the causeway leading to Herald Island.
At Massey, Kelston, Kelston West, Sunnyvale and Te Atatu:
All that area with the exception of the No. 16 State
Highway (Auckland-Wellsford), Auckland-Whenuapai
motorway, Makora Road, and Triangle Road, bounded
by a line commencing at a point on the western bank
of the Henderson Creek opposite the eastern end of
Royal Road; thence north-westerly generally along
the western bank of the Henderson Creek and the southern
banks of Lawsons Creek and the Manutewhau Stream
to the eastern side of the No. 16 State Highway
(Auckland-Wellsford), Auckland-Whenuapai motorway;
thence due west by a right line to the eastern side
of Don Buck Road; thence southerly generally along
the eastern side of the said road to its western side;
thence southerly generally along the northern side
of Royal Road; thence across Don Buck Road at
right angles from its eastern side to its western side;
thence southerly generally along the western side of
the said road to the northern side of Swanson Road;
thence south-easterly generally along the north-eastern
side of Swanson Road to the northern boundary of
Henderson Borough; thence easterly, southerly, and
westerly generally along the northern, eastern, and
southern boundaries of Henderson Borough to the
North Auckland Railway to the south-eastern
side of Seymour Road; thence southerly generally by a
right line to a point on the western boundary of Glen
Eden Borough at its intersection with the northern end
of Sunvue Road; thence northerly and easterly generally
along the western and northern boundaries of Glen
Eden Borough to the western boundary of New Lynn
Borough; thence northerly generally along the said
boundary to the southern bank of the Whau River,
and bounded to the east, to the north and to the west
by the western banks of the Whau River, the banks
of the Wairau Creek, the shores of the Waitemata
Harbour and the banks of the Henderson Creek to a
point due west of Tawa Road; thence due west by a
right line to the commencing point.
At Massey:
Triangle Road: from Don Buck Road to Makora Road
and from a point 150 metres measured south-easterly
generally along Triangle Road from Lincoln Park
Avenue to a point 300 metres measured south-easterly
generally along Triangle Road from Waimumu Road
and from Lincoln Road to a point 220 metres measured
north-westerly generally along Triangle Road from
Lincoln Road.
At Ranui:
Atney Road.
Greenock Road.
Pooks Road: from Metcalfe Road to Ranui Avenue.
Swanson Road: from the north-western boundary of
Henderson Borough to a point 480 metres measured
westerly generally along the said road from Atney
Road.
