HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 64B (2) of the Local Elections and Polls Act 1966 (as substituted by section 20 of the Local Elections and Polls Amendment Act 1974), His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, and on the advice of the Minister of Local Government given at the request of The Queenstown Borough Council, hereby makes the following order.
ORDER

Title—This order may be cited as the Local Elections and Polls (Postal Voting) Order 1976.

Queenstown Borough Council authorised to conduct poll by postal vote—The Returning Officer for the Borough of Queenstown is hereby authorised to conduct by postal vote the election appointed to be held on the 5th day of February 1976 to fill the extraordinary vacancy in the office of Mayor of that Borough caused by the resignation from that office of Mr Warren Ernest Cooper.
