Setting Apart Maori Freehold Land as a Maori Reservation

Pursuant to section 439 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Maori freehold land, described in the Schedule hereto, is hereby set apart as a Maori reservation for the purpose of an urupa for the common use and benefit of the Mahurehure tribe.

ALL that piece of land situated in Block II, Waimana Survey District, and described as follows:

Plants Declared Noxious Weeds Under the Noxious Weeds Act 1950 in the County of Cheviot (No. 1461 Ag. 12/10/4/5)

Pursuant to a delegation from the Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries under the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries Act 1953, for the purposes of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the following special order, made by the Cheviot County Council on the 14th day of May 1976 is hereby published:

SPECIAL ORDER

Pursuant to section 3 of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the Cheviot County Council hereby declares the following plants to be noxious weeds within the County of Cheviot: Boxthorn (Lycium ferocissimum syn. Lycium horridum). Thorn Apple (Datura stramonium).

Notice of Intention to Assign Railway Names by the New Zealand Geographic Board

Pursuant to section 12 of the New Zealand Geographic Board Act 1946, notice is hereby given of the intention of the New Zealand Geographic Board to assign the names set out in the first column of the Schedule hereto.

Pursuant to section 13 of the said Act, any person objecting to any such proposed name may, at any time within the period of 3 months from the date of publication of this notice in the Gazette, give to the Secretary of the Board, care of the Department of Lands and Survey, Private Bag, Wellington, notice in writing of his objection, setting out the grounds of the objection.

If no objection is received by the Board within the aforesaid period of 3 months, the Board's decision as to any of the said proposed names will be final.
