NOTICE is hereby given, pursuant to the provisions of sub-
section (1) of section 22 of the Public Works Act 1928,
that the Lower Hutt City Council proposes under the pro-
visions of that Act and of the Town and Country Planning
Act 1953 and, in particular, section 47 of the latter Act and
of all other Acts, powers, and authorities enabling it in that
behalf to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for
a public work, i.e., for the proper development of the
said land in accordance with the operative district scheme
of the city for which purpose the land, so described in the Schedule hereto, is required
to be taken and notice is hereby further given that a plan of
the said piece of land is deposited at the offices of the
Lower Hutt City Council, Administration Building, Laings
Road, Lower Hutt, and is there open for inspection without
fee by all persons during ordinary office hours and that
any person affected by the execution of the said public
work or by the taking of the said piece of land for the
purpose aforesaid should, if he has any objection to the
said public work or to the taking of the said piece of land
(not being an objection to the amount or payment of com-
pensation), send his written objection within 40 days after
the first publication of this notice to the Town and Country
Planning Appeal Board, care of Tribunals Division, Private
Bag, Postal Centre, Wellington, and notice is hereby given
that if any objection is made as aforesaid, a public hearing
of the objection will be held, unless the objector otherwise
requires, and each objector will be advised of the time and
place of hearing and at that hearing each objector will be
advised of the reasons for the proposed taking.

SCHEDULE

ALL that piece of land situate at and known as No. 79 Knights
Road in the City of Lower Hutt containing 32 perches, more
or less, being part of Section 29 of the Hutt District, and
being also Lot 14 of Block VIII on Deposited Plan 1425, and
all the land contained in certificate of title, Volume 293,
Folio 60 (Wellington Registry) subject to the fencing agree-
ment in transfer No. 148037.

WAIMATE WEST COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF RESULT OF POLL

PURSUANT to section 13 (2) of the Local Authorities Loans
Act 1956, notice is hereby given that a poll of the ratepayers
of the Waimate West County Council, taken on the 26th
day of February 1976, on the proposal of the above-named
local authority to raise a loan of $318,925 to be known as the
“Water Supply Loan No. 2, 1975,” $318,925 for the purpose
of completing the planned piped and treated water supply
scheme throughout the county, resulted as follows:

The number of votes recorded for the proposal was ..... 324
The number of votes recorded against the proposal was ..... 50
The number of informal votes was ..... 2
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.
