Alteration of Boundaries of Hawke's Bay County and Hastings City

At the Government Buildings at Wellington this 22nd day

THE HON. R. D. MULDOON PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Local Government Act 1974, His Excellency
the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following
order.

ORDER

1. This order shall come into force on 1 April 1976.
2. The boundaries of Hawke's Bay County and Hastings
   City shall be altered by excluding from the district of Hawke's
   Bay County and including in the district of Hastings City
   the areas described in the Schedule to this scheme.

SCHEDULE
ALL that area in the Hawke's Bay Land District, County of
Hawke's Bay.
Firstly, containing 8.9 hectares, more or less, bounded by
a line commencing at the northernmost corner of Lot 3,
DP 3266, and proceeding south-easterly along the north-
eastern boundary of that Lot 3 and its production to the
south-eastern side of Maraekakaho Road; thence south-
westerly along that roadside to a point in line with the north-
eastern boundary of Lot 40, DP 3400; thence north-westerly
to and along that boundary and north-easterly along the
north-western boundary of Lot 39, DP 3400 to the south-
western side of Oliphant Road; thence north-westerly along
that roadside to a point in line with the south-eastern
boundary of Lot 34, DP 3400; thence north-easterly to and
along that boundary and south-easterly along the north-
eastern boundary of Lot 29, DP 3400 to the south-eastern
boundary of Lot 23, DP 3400; thence north-easterly along
that boundary for a distance of 68.8 metres and its production
to the north-eastern side of Kaiapo Road; thence south-
easterly along that roadside to the north-western boundary
of Lot 14, DP 3266; thence north-easterly along the north-
western boundaries of Lots 14, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, and 3, DP
3266, to the point of commencement.
Secondly, containing 1.8 hectares, more or less, bounded by
a line commencing at a point in the middle of Williams
Street in line with the north-western boundary of Lot 51,
DP 1977 and proceeding north-easterly to and along that
boundary of Lot 51 to its northernmost corner; thence south-
easterly along the north-eastern boundaries of Lots 51, 50,
49, 48, 47, and 46, DP 1977, along a right line to and
along the north-eastern boundaries of Lots 44, 43, 42, 41, 40,
and 39, DP 1977, and Lot 1 DP 4334, to the eastern boundary
of Lot 1, DP 4334; thence southerly along that boundary
and its production to the middle of Williams Street; thence
north-westerly along the middle of that street to the point
of commencement.
Thirdly, containing 7.6 hectares, more or less, bounded by a
line commencing at the westernmost corner of Lot 1, DP
2986, and proceeding north-easterly along the north-western
boundaries of Lots 1 to 17 inclusive, DP 2986 to the north-
eastern boundary of Lot 17, DP 2986; thence south-easterly
generally, along that boundary, the north-western boundaries
of Karamu GD1 and GD2, the north-eastern and south-
western boundary of Karamu GD2, the south-eastern
boundary of Karamu GD1, and the south-western boundaries
of Karamu Part GD and GE1 to the middle of Jellicoe
Street; thence south-westerly along the middle of Jellicoe
Street to a point in line with the south-western boundary
of Lot 1, DP 7594; thence north-westerly along a right line
to a point 10.06 metres from the north-eastern side of
Collinge Road in line with the north-western boundary of
Lot 1, DP 2986; thence north-easterly along a right line to
the point of commencement.
Fourthly, containing 18.5 hectares, more or less, bounded
by a line commencing at the intersection of the north-eastern
side of Ada Street and the southern boundary of Lot 23,
DP 9854 and proceeding south-westerly along a right line
at right angles to the north-eastern side of Ada Street to the
middle of Ada Street; thence south-easterly along the middle
of Ada Street to a point in line with the middle of Louie
Street; thence south-westerly and north-westerly to and along
