ORDER

  1. This order shall come into force on 1 April 1976.

  2. The Waipa Drainage Board shall be dissolved and the Waipa Drainage District shall be abolished.

  3. The area of the Waipa Drainage District shall be constituted a drainage district of the County of Otorohanga under the name of the "Waipa Drainage District" (or such other name as the Otorohanga County Council may decide to adopt).

  4. The Waipa Drainage District shall be deemed to have been constituted under Part XVI of the Counties Act 1956, and the classifications of land for rating purposes made by the Waipa Drainage Board and existing on its dissolution shall be the classifications of land in the Waipa Drainage District as if those classifications had been made under that part of that Act.

  5. The assets and liabilities of the Waipa Drainage Board shall vest in the Otorohanga County Council, and the assets shall, after all liabilities have been provided for, be applied only to land drainage in the Waipa Drainage District and any amounts requiring to be found to meet those liabilities shall be found only within that district.

Taieri County Council Appointed to Manage Otokia Cemetery

DENIS BLUNDELL, Governor-General

PURSUANT to section 23 of the Burial and Cremation Act 1964, I, Sir Edward Denis Blundell, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby appoint the Taieri County Council to have the control and management of the Otokia Cemetery, being the land described in the Schedule hereto, as from the 15th day of March 1976.

OTOKIA CEMETERY

ALL that piece of land containing 8389 square metres, more or less, being Section 64 and part Section 53, Block IV, Otokia Survey District (S.O. Plan 11735).

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General this 3rd day of March 1976.

The appointment of Lieutenant K. M. Mutch, M.B.E., with seniority and effect from 3 March 1975, for a period terminating on 29 March 1985, is confirmed.

The appointment of Lieutenant E. D. J. Isaac with seniority
and effect from 3 March 1975, for a period terminating on 2 May 1983, is confirmed.

The appointment of Sub Lieutenant A. D. Millar with seniority from 28 March 1973 and effect from 3 March 1975, for a period terminating on 28 September 1988, is confirmed.

Sub Lieutenant (temp. Lieutenant) J. O. Ladd to be Lieutenant with seniority and effect from 5 January 1976.

The appointment of Instructor Sub Lieutenant P. J. V. Chivers, with seniority from 21 May 1974 and effect from 10 February 1975, for a period terminating on 9 February 1980, is confirmed.

Ensign (temp. Sub Lieutenant) K. N. Corles to be Sub Lieutenant with seniority and effect from 4 January 1976.

Midshipman D. J. Carpenter to be temp. Ensign with effect from 20 January 1976.

Geoffrey Miles Turner, N17814, CPO WTR, to be Lieutenant (on prob.) (Special Duties List), with seniority and effect from 27 February 1976, on appointment to the RNZN for a period of 12 years.

Fourth Officer K. J. Osborne to be Third Officer with seniority and effect from 3 March 1976.
